Love the NBA! Grizz lose ZBO and they just hammered the Knicks who had won 4 in a row. Cavs go into PHX and pound them and now the W's are up 14 on the Magic. This season is going to continue to be wacky!

Interesting tactic used by Mark Jackson, fouling Howard so much that he set the record for FTA in a game. Almost worked for him too.
21-39 from the foul line. Unbelievable.

I didn't really understand it. He has that much lack of confidence that he rather potentially give away points than playing man defense? He was doing this early in the 2nd quarter, I was baffled.

Dwight shot 53% on FTA's which is better than letting him shoot field goals where he'd probably convert about 60% of them and it beats letting the magic shoot 47% on threes all night (with an eFG% of 70.5%). I thought it was a pretty brilliant tactic, the main problem is that he just ran out of big people to foul him at the end.

I think it can be a good tactic if you're behind in a game and want to create extra possessions. I don't think I'd do it if I was ahead or the game was fairly even.

Not a fan of the "Hack-A-Shaq" then, and the "Hack-A-Howard" now. Problem with doing this throughout the game is you are almost guaranteeing a 50% mark at the line. But they are gimme points. Meaning, Orlando didn't have to work for them. Also allows for Orlando to set up their defense after a make or miss.

That's true if they just foul as soon as the Magic bring the ball up the court, but it's usually a more situational tactic. Once Dwight has the ball in good position down low, your options become pretty limited, and getting out of the possession only giving up one point can look pretty attractive. I agree though, that from a fan's perspective it's boring as hell.

I've been very impressed with Jon Leuer of the Bucks. He looks like he's going to be a quality role player for many years.

Also, B.J. Mullens continues to impress. He looks FAR more polished than Biyombo and is by far and away the best center on that roster. Cho with the score!

I have a very hard time forming an opinon on guys who are members of the 2 or 3 worse teams in the league. Often they would be scrubs on a mediocre team but just put up some stats because SOMEBODY on the roster has too. Heck Ricky Davis averaged 20ppg and Chris Gatling made an all-star team.

He's solid -- 12/5 in limited minutes and posting a PER of 21.

He's also improving every week. Though, his defense is very suspect but he'll be a scorer in this league.

You don't have to form an opinion based on stats. Watch Mullens play, he's a 7-footer that can actually play.

Yeah, he's a 1. When he figures out the pick and roll, he's going to get 15 assists a game, too.

A-Mazing. Imagine if Lebron would have picked Chicago! Foolish.
