It's done. This organization has been screwing up since we blew Game 1 of the 1991 NBA Western Conference Finals.

I'm so upset. After only 5 games this season, Barkley was calling us the best team on the West, that no team could beat us 4 out of 7. And then we beat the Lakers and the team was riding high. We were playing a more exciting brand of basketball. I liked all the new pieces and now it's all gone down the toilet. Many of you tried to warn me, but yet again, we're just another mediocre team that will go nowhere in the playoffs.

LaMarcus Aldridge isn't the guy. Sadly, Roy, even when healthy, wasn't the guy either. Roy was competitive though. He wanted to win. I don't think LaMarcus cares either way. You can see it on his face. If we win, great. If we lose, that's fine too. We saw, in Dirk Nowitzki's brilliant playoff run, what it takes to win a title. LaMarcus isn't even close to that level and frankly, I don't even think he deserves an All Star bid. Nate challenged LaMarcus to a bet that he couldn't average a double double this year and unfortunately, Nate has that one in the bag. LaMarcus is never going to average a double double. He is who he is. An okay jumpshooter who can put in a few hook shots and finish alley oop dunks (and even then, not always).

Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton are fine talents, but even when Felton gets his shooting up, these are the two cornerstones of a Bobcats team that got swept out of the first round in humiliating fashion. Crawford, who I actually like, was an absolute no show in his only two years in the playoffs. Batum has potential, I guess, but he seems okay with losing too. He's frustrated with not getting minutes yet he often struggles in garbage time against third stringers.

Craig Smith, not LaMarcus, is our best scorer in the post and should be used more often. With Bayno in Minnesota, I don't see LaMarcus even working on his post game before games anymore. Thomas is a great backup center for a contender but we are not a contender so it's a waste. Camby's game has been getting worse and worse, not even averaging 9 rebounds a game and it really hurts us that our center isn't a threat to score. It's a moot point anyway cuz who knows when or if Camby will be back. If Nolan Smith isn't good enough for rotation minutes, then why didn't we draft Faried? We are horrible at drafting. Where is Victor Claver?

Wesley Matthews is fine but if he and Batum are supposed to be such great defenders, why do people shoot (and make) wide open threes against us? As great as Batum was against Houston, he wouldnt stick to Budinger and we paid for that in the first half.

7-5, are you kidding me? If we don't start winning on this trip, the second (and longer) road trip will put the nail in the coffin of our playoff hopes. We had no business getting destroyed in Phoenix and we should've beaten Houston last night.

I don't know why I should get my hopes up anyway. Even if, by a miracle, we won the West, Miami is better than us at every position. And as much as I hate Miami, they'll probably be in the Finals again.

    This sucks.

In game threads you are sarcastic toward team critics. Put this parody into script format and submit it to your agent. The Simpsons would be good, so have Gerald Wallace get into a half-hour fight with a rooster.

Ha. I thought of another thing. WHY is everyone swinging the ball to Gerald Wallace in the corner like he's Reggie Miller? Of COURSE, he's open. Our opponents want him to shoot!

He has never shot from range this much before. Every other coach designs inside plays with tricky ball movement. Ours doesn't know how.

You have already lost interest in staying in character. You're supposedly on my side now. If you can't act longer than that, I'll pick someone from the chorus line.

Overreacting much? Were 12 games in and no longer clicking like we did. Lma is an amazing talent who is constantly getting doubeled and his outside shot is not falling. Almost every shooter we have is in a slump and we rely way to much on the three to open up the lanes.
It is to early to call us a one and done or a contender or even a playoff team. Our team is to reliant on the three to open up the court so wallace and lma can go to work. Its still way to early to make playoff assumptions to a team still fimding itself ( but if we dont figure things out soon goodbye any chance of a top 4 seed)
I forgot to add that another big concern is defensive rebounding. We want to run more but were taking off before the rebound is secured.

Other teams made adjustments. Now it's the Blazers turn to make adjustments. Rinse repeat.

U guys do realize we are the 8th seed at moment? Also Utah is ahead of us. That's cause for concern.

I said I'd make up my mind what kind of team this is going to be by around game 15 ... I don't think I need that much time. So far this looks like a classic: Good "energy" home team, shitty road team with probably not enough depth and bonafide A level talent to be much more than a low seed playoff team. If they can reverse their tendency to bad half-court execution and get more efficient play out of Felton and if Camby isn't out for too long then that could change, but that seems like a lot of "ifs" to me.

The team certainly isn't as bad as Eric portrays them now, but all that nonsense about going to the finals that I was hearing a week or two ago was a bit premature.

I don't think the team jinx should be allowed to complain about the team.

It's a function of Nate's 'offense'. The small forward has to stand in the corner with his thumb in his ass and make three pointers, cold, out of rhythm, and flat footed. If I were Batum, I'd pray the Blazers don't match, since it appears Nate is going to be here a very long time.

Sure he will - next off season after all of our players have left to sign elsewhere. But first, we have to lose in the first round after the opposing coach makes an adjustment and Nate fails to counter over the final 4 - 5 games of the series.

I think the team is in pretty good shape considering we lost our franchise player/franchise savior and our number 1 draft pick cornerstone this season.

Never thought we were going to the finals after that. So that bar we are failing to meet was a false one all along.

Never thought the team was "set up perfectly for the future" after those devasting losses. So that bar we are failing to meet was a false one.

I am not sure what you are so upset about Kingspeed other than your own wildly ridiculous overoptimistic projections.

Shoot for the moon and don't be suprised to see yourself falling back down to earth.

It's just Kingspeed being Kingspeed. On the surface, he seems wildly inconsistent, when in fact, he's just the opposite. He's the most consistent poster on this board. It doesn't mater if the news is good or bad, we can ALWAYS count on Kingspeed to overreact.
