Fear not Blazer fans, but all of you can go back to wondering how you will get tickets to the finals after tonight's game. Just what the doctor ordered
I agree it should be a win. Based on how the Blazers play at home and the fact that the Kings are maybe the most selfish team in basketball, this is a matchup that should favor the home team.
It should be an easy win. But HOU/DET should have been easy wins as well. We aren't a very good team. Something interesting: check out Tyreke's stats in his career so far: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4564/career;_ylt=ApTVmubmlIse7MoHmk3astekvLYF Gotten worse every year.
No they shouldn't have been easy wins. The difference between Portland at home and on the road is night and day Tyreke is a young Crawchuck....IMO
The first game at home after a long road trip has historically resulted in upsets. I would take the Kings and the 11 points.
the way the blazers are playin, up/down/up/down. I wouldnt be surprised if they have a tough time winning, or even lose by a few.
The first game back after a long road tip thing aside, we should beat this team tonight. That said, Memphis is playing well and we never pay well at Golden State or Utah. Would be happy with 3-2 after this week. Too bad we blew some games that we really should have won on this past road trip.
I thin there are a lot of different personalities in the forum. Some think we should win every game and want to blow it up if we lose. Some think we can do no wrong regardless of what's going on. Some think we can do no right regardless. Some are level headed but optimists, and some are level headed but pessimists. Some get angry at the way we lose games, and not the fact that we lose games. Some think certain people are to praise or blame for everything and some people think the exact opposite is true of that person. Taking off my forum costume for a moment, Portland is a pretty good team with no superstar player. They have a player who is a fringe star, and a bunch of role players. They have a coach who is good at motivation, but hasn't really shown himself to be a great X's and O's guy, especially in the playoffs when other teams only prepare for you. They have an owner who is a fan, but can't seem to get out of his own way, and a meddling president who probably should leave basketball decisions up to basketball people. Nothing is really bad about the team. It's just not that great either. I think because of what I just said, you have so many people seeing different things in the same thing. The other "issue" is that Portland fans are probably the most passionate fans, so they tend to live and die with their team more than other fans do
I would consider myself a level headed optimist. When Brandon went down last season I honestly posted on here and believed we were not making the playoffs. I get pissed when we lose games, and happy when we win, but I don't go to the extremes you see on here. I just can't cheer for a player that I was just cracking on the night before, like some of those guys. Nate gets to much credit on here for wins and too much blame for loses as well. I was raised a die hard fan and always will be, the only thing that has changed is I am a bit biased because I know these people. When I hear people bashing Nic, it's tough. The guy is only 23 and busts his ass to get better. Want's to play big minutes and I believe produces when he gets the chance. I get bummed when the team plays like shit, but I just can't bash and trash my beloved team.
