It was obvious to me that it was just a bruise from landing on it awkwardly.

Err, there was some weird twisting going on, but that's probably because Nicolas runs faster around a corner than his joints can handle lol. Ah, to be long, lanky, and super athletic.

Though, I actually doubt that explanation. I feel like world-class athletes rarely fall to the ground for no reason. Any able to confirm whether or not CJ Miles nudged him on the turn? I feel like that's the most likely explanation. I feel like some of these crappier teams, that's how they win. Like in Golden State when Wallace got undercut (Opps, yeah right), or when Chris Kaman poked Nicolas in the eye, it's like you don't have enough hand-eye coordination to not wave your hands frantically into someones face, really??

Sure, accidents, but accidents seem to be inversely proportional to discipline and skill imo. Remember when Ron Artest in his prime could defend players with his hands behind his back? Or how Shane Battier would always put his hand right in the dudes face (but rarely commit a foul). Etc etc.

    Anyways, good well soon Batman.

Left leg amputation to take place Thursday. Blazers confident that Batum on one leg will still contribute more than Oden on his two gimpy legs.

    Here's the video:

Looks to me like Nic's left foot slips and then his right foot clips his left heel causing him to fall and land on his left knee. I don't see anything dirty on Miles's part.

Please look in the game thread for this poster's accurate call of the injury.

Yeah, it seems to be that Nic was counting on some resistance from Miles and Miles sort of pulled the chair. But immediately before that I see Batum move a bit (to the right) with Miles' arm slightly extended. It's grasping at hairs, sure, but I notice that when that happens Miles is not squarely in front of Nic and does not have position. Not saying it was a foul or not, but down on the court who can really tell how much a force that arm had on Nico.

At the 43-44 second transition, does putting a small amount of force into a full-speed Nicolas into the "right" direction while not squared up not count as "touching" then? It's close, but it's not as simple as you say. When someone is running that fast, a little force can change everything.

Blazers will then sign him to a 4 year extension, and list him as "day-to-day" for the duration of it.

Brother, I looked at all 7 of our angles and he didn't make Nic fall. No foul. Nic tripped himself.

And we trust the Blazers' diagnosis, why exactly?

    Sort of.
