I'm telling ya'll we need to schedule Notre Dame every year.... USC almost jumped five spots after spanking that JV team all over the field. The AP and voters love those weak suck Irish and it's almost a for sure win. That's why USC schedules them yearly!

I'm a tad concerned with the lack of recruiting OL in this class.

Let's leave that to next year. I got a bunch of DL and WR so next year we can focus on OL and Corners.

Also, any possible True Freshman possibly for this class? Byron Marshall or Pharoah Brown look plausible.

I would be too, if we hadnt had such a huge OL class last year. And the majority of them made it through the year with their redshirt in tact. Most years there is more of a balance of equal linemen from class to class, but our haul was so big last year, we could put it off this year.

Also, there is also Seastrunk and Lyerla that will get playing time this year as well. Seastrunk is a RB, but what position will Lyerla play?

Seastrunk transferred to Baylor at the beginning of the year. Just a heads up :)

Can we take talk of scheduling and depth to other threads?

Not talking as an admin here... just that I'd prefer to have things cleaner so we can discuss things more easily.

2012 recruiting news is basically over, outside of one possible late commitment. This thread is basically a wrap.

... and ... SCENE! until news about Brooks.

So the recruiting year is done and here's what I've come away with:

If you want to BE A DUCK you'll be recruited not the other way around. Chip is not going to cheapen this program or what he's built here to do the song and dance with the Rivals top 150. Good or bad the kids we have wanted to be Ducks, many for a very long time and that's a hell of alot easier to coach and motivate than a kid you have to convince about your program. To be honest, I'd take one less star on every player I've got if their minds were ready from day one to be molded into my plan as a head coach. I think Chip knows what he's doing, we are building a vision with the OOOO and vision brings a hell of a team. Then come the champioships like Pac-12 champs and Rose Bowl winners.... The next step is clear because Chip has built an all in philosopy and he has a team ,not individuals that have bought into it, from the coaching staff down to the ball boys. It's a good time to be a Duck!

Its not necessarily about the * next to the recruits its about how that recruit fits your system. Its always been about speed 1st with Chip.

Not just speed, but overall athleticism. He covets athletes. Hell, half the guys he recruited in this class are multi-sport kids. He even joked about fielding a hell of a basketball team.

He didn't make it and it sounds like UCLA can't get him in academically. That probably puts us in a similar position.
