    I wonder if they are hyping this up in Japan or if it is still unknown? The Saitama SA can hold a hell of a lot of people but I imagine they'd be happy with 15-20,000.

    Edgar/Henderson is an excellent main event.

    The UFC plans to air this event live. Saitama is 14-hours ahead of Eastern time. The fights will start at roughly 9am Sunday morning in Saitama, live on FX at 7pm Eastern time on Saturday. Bit confusing.

    The UFC has reportedly sold 15,000 tickets for this event. The Saitama holds considerably more people. This is a damn good event but the MMA fad in Japan has passed and it seems unlikely to draw tens of thousands. Shockwave 2006 (Emelianenko vs. Hunt, Big Nog vs. Barnett) had almost 49,000 people, though likely only half paid in full.

    The UFC plans on showing eight fights on the main PPV broadcast with the remaining four on FX preliminaries. It would make it the biggest live broadcast the UFC has done in some time (the typical broadcast only guarantees five fights on the main card).

    The first five fights will air on FX around 7pm ET, and the rest of the card (!!!) will be shown on the PPV broadcast. Seven fights main card show--old school, I like it. Could make for a long night if there are several decisions.

    The UFC put up 20,000 tickets for the event and expects to sell them all. If things go according to plan, Japan will be on their list of annual shows.
