I think the thing that annoys me most about these kind of things are the type of people who get all in your face about how they "support their gay friends", but its nothing more than them showing off and trying to brag about how tolerant and progressive they are. I think that's the crux of it to me. Most of them are all in your face about it. Maybe its not how they are, but I think on a subconscious level they are doing it to create a sense of moral superiority over the "idiots" in society. To me, its similar to how many atheists behave.

To me it's fully a Libertarian thing. EVERYONE has the right to pursuit of happiness. I simply don't see the benefit of standing in someone's way of that. And surely gay people, like heterosexual people, want to find life partners and get married (pursuit of happiness).

The only argument against incest is the increase in frequency of birth defects. How about 2nd cousins? Where do you draw the line? It's not something I'd practice, and I suspect few would. But as long as both brother and sister are consenting ADULTS, it's none of my business and I don't see the point in throwing them in prison.

Well, unlike you, I recognize that males and females are biologically different. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have equal opportunities but I recognize that they are not really equal in almost every aspect of life. I recognize that there are real gender differences between the sexes.

So if you're correcting society,a nd have no problem with it at all, why don't you correct the portion of society that is giving poor reasoning and fear mongering?

I'm not equating homosexuality to bestiality other than homosexuality was seen as a sexual perversion until fairly recently. As a society "advances", things will be more liberated and things that were sexual perversions in the past soon become the new normal. Not saying its going to happen, but I would bet that pedophillia and bestiality are much more prevalent than you would think. Just look at all the arrests on Dateline NBC, teacher scandals, child porn arrests, etc. If society were to tolerate it say 20 years from now, I believe the behavior would likely become more "accepted" and the same arguments will remain in place by a certain type of person. And when you refer to the "portion of society that is giving poor reasoning and fear mongering", I think the anti-gay marriage crowd is pretty well covered in that regard. Most of them are batshit insane religious types.
