New Orleans 25th in pace at 90.4 under Monty. Portland this season is 12th in pace at 95.9 under Nate.

You're complaining about "slow-down" ball, yet you advocate bringing in Monty Williams?

Do not let Larry Brown near a team that doesn't have a GM.

After the Blazers have hired a GM I would be interested in hiring Larry Brown as a coach but not with the cluster fuck we currently have in the front office. You know Larry would want both the GM & head coaching positions.

Let him, who cares we need a GM. I'd give him both jobs right now if I could.

Agreed. Sloan would be my #1 option however.

Stop with the facts PapaG, these people need to be upset at the coach because it takes little to no critical thinking to blame the coach for everything. As long as I've been on the boards, it's been our coaches fault for not being better, no matter who the coach is.

Hmmmm.... let me think..... who was the last good coach that we had? Mo? Dunleavy? PJ? LOL

The last good coach we had was Rick Adelman. Maybe the reason why it's always the coaches fault is because we haven't had a good coach in 20 years..... ever think of that? PJ, Mo, and Dunleavy have all gone on to coach in other cities. Maybe you could tell me, how have they done away from the Blazers? Oh that's right..... they sucked balls. PJ couldn't do shit with essentially the same team that Scott Brooks took to the playoffs. Mo fell flat on his face in Philly and Dunleavy couldn't do squat with a pretty talented Clippers roster. Nate is better than Mo or PJ, but come on.... the guy is not one of the better coaches in the NBA.

I'd rather have Dunleavy than Nate.

Mo was a frikking disaster from day one, and I said so. I guess no one else would take the job.

I hated PJ's guts. So did the players.

We could have had Adelman or McHale last year. Why oh why do the Seattle Vulcans torment us so?

Adelman stepped on his dick for two straight years at Houston, and while Minnesota is improved this year, they're still under .500, yet have a two-time AS on their roster.

McHale was a failure in Minnesota, and while Houston is playing decent ball, there is still time for McHale to screw up that team as well.

If The Blazers could coax Phil Jackson out of retirement to coach the team, after 3 losses in a row some people here would be calling for him to be replaced.

Thank you for injecting some hyperbole into this discussion. It needed it.

Pointless to talk about King Phil unless we first acquire two healthy all stars and some shooters. He has to protect his legacy, ya know.

If the Blazers aren't in contact with Sloan today to at least have a conversation, they are dumb.

Sloan can't coach without an elite PG, and even if Portland had one, Sloan's last experience ended very, very bad.

Hyperbole on this board? No! It's always a bastion of rationality.

If Camby goes down, we may have to sign the big redhead to a 10-day contract. Have you seen what else is out there? It ain't pretty.

I think if I could chose any career, it would be back-up NBA center. You get grossly overpaid (compared to your already grossly overpaid peers) and only have to work about 10 or 12 minutes every couple days.
