When's the trade deadline? We have to deal felton. I'd be cool with sending felton and wes packing. As long as we get a point guard that can play with aldridge
You have to add Matthews to the mix, if you're going to add Crawford. Felton, though. Wow. Words don't describe how bad he's playing right now.
To a degree yes. I think out of all the guards, Crawford is playing the "best" right now. "Best" being relative, since they're all playing pretty damn crappy. Except for Failton. He fell through the floor with how bad he's playing.
Felton tonight was the NBA equivalent of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kputKjS2HLk Although I do feel bad for the lady who was singing the anthem, considering the classless fans in Canada were booing the Star Spangled Banner before she even started singing. Felton I don't feel bad for at all, after his whining about Nate earlier this week.
Check this out. ATL- Teague, Hinrich BOS- Rondo CHA- Kemba, Augustin CHI- Rose CLE- Irving DAL- Kidd, Beaubois DEN- Lawson, Dre DET- Stuckey, Knight GSW- Curry, Monta HOU- Lowry, Dragic IND- Collison, Hill LAC- CP, Mo Williams, Billups LAL- Fisher, Blake, Morris MEM- Conley MIA- Chalmers, Cole MIL- Jennings NJN- Deron, Farmar NOH- Jack, Vasquez NYK- Lin, Baron OKC- Westbrook, Maynor ORL- Nelson PHL- Holiday, Lou Williams PHX- Nash SAC- Evans, Jimmer SAS- TP TOR- Calderon, Bayless UTA- Harris, Watson WAS- Wall I'd take any of the guys listed over Felton.
I think if you go by today's game (the Clippers) Crawford and Matthews proved to be our best combo at guard, mostly because Felton is simply not producing. Right now our top 5 is set: Crawford, Matthews, Batum, Wallace and Camby. When LA comes back another player needs to sit in key minutes and right now if I had my choice it would be Wallace but I can't see it happening.
Felton is a special player. Rarely do you find a point guard that not only sucks himself, but makes everyone around him worse.
Anybody up for trading for Ramon Sessions? How 'bout Bassy? Boobie Gibson perhaps? Anyone? ... Anyone?
None of them would be the PGOTF, either. Bert Kolde and Larry Miller should be thinking up ways to rebuild right now, though, and it should involve Gerald Wallace, Felton, and probably Matthews as well. You already have an All-Star in LMA, which expedites improving any roster and circumvents a "rebuild" in the classic sense. Get a decent PG, get a SG that can dribble without hitting his feet, and move Batum into the starting line-up.
You're not thinking big enough, dumping only half the team. To fit McMillan's style we need to trade the rest of the garbage too. Every single member of the team. We need to change owners, hire a GM, and trade all the players. Then we'll see whether this pleases the McMillan system. If not, we need to do it again until we isolate the cause of the problem.
Until now I wasn't on the "clean house" bandwagon, but I am now. I like Nate, but the team needs a new voice. And aside from LA & Batum, every player is easily expendable. And some have just got to go- starting with Failton & Crawful.
I see a lot of bright minds on this board, and I figure that if we clear out all the veteran players who did fine on other teams, and get a new owner who will take orders from the new GM and hand over the reduced fortune he has left after ruining himself financing Pritchard's trades, that we on this board will combine our profound powers of analysis to narrow down the possible causes of why McMillan's system has been rudely not allowed to work by our owner. We need to isolate the hidden problem, that is, what is creating obstacles to McMillan's system.
