Crawford and Felton for nothing but second rounders and force Nate to play E. Will. Or the second best option is to fire Nate and tell the next coach they are fired unless they play the young players.

Both seem like dreams to me.

They both probably are dreams, but if Nate were to be dismissed during the season, it would be an interim coach for the remainder of the year, and guys like Williams would get a lot of run.

If we are punting, I'd like to see Nolan forced into action. Really, I would like moves to improve elsewhere, and still force him into action. And then have the conviction to stay dedicated to him, and see what happens.

I think Crawford has some value for certain teams and a second rounder or very late first from a contender might be realistic, but you'd be lucky to get a bag of deflated basketballs for Felton.

Fun fact. Nolan Smith has a 3.31 PER. It was ~1 before the Atlanta game.

Even in garbage minutes, that's appalling.

Then we should just waive Felton. Make it public that our team will not tolerat shit playing! :P

Crawford for a late first rounder would be nice, IMO. Maybe to New York? They seem to like Crawford and Crawford likes that team too.

Yes. And while we went through the inevitable growing pains of giving the young guys extended time, there will be times it would seem like a nightmare.

You say play the young players but only specifically mention EWill. Maybe all Babbit needs is some extended time? Same for Armon.

Yes, Nate is hesitant to play the young guys but he is not opposed to it if they prove they are the best option. Roy got a lot of time his first year. LMA got respectable time as well although that was tempered by also having a very stat productive Zach Randolph ahead of him.

Perhaps the problem is not so much that Nate won't play the young guys, as they just aren't as good as we see in the occasional glimpse. Sergio looked pretty good in the times we saw him his rookie year but extended playing time exposed his weaknesses and led many to wish for someone else.

The problem, as I see it, is that we have, to a degree, unknowns with our younger players and WE want to know them better. We also see some veterans getting significant time and not playing well. Taken from a short-term view, you get rid of those playing poorly and play the unknowns. However, some of the veterans have done well elsewhere and so have, to a degree, proven themselves.

Maybe as bad as the veterans are playing, the young guys still can't outplay them in practice and hence, just can't earn time on court.

Not defending Nate but afraid of the nightmare of giving large chunks of time to the "young players".

    Gramps...

I think we could pry one of LAs late firsts for Felton.

Then trade Crawford to Orlando for Duhon and their pick. I really don't give a fuck anymore. I want Felton and Crawful off this team! YUCK!!!!!

I think Felton has value. It has to be the right situation though.

    The Clips lost Billups

The Knicks might want him as back up insurance

The Heat could use a vet PG like Felton

The Lakers is the best spot for him

Wow you guys are Crazy. No late first round pick will be on the same level as Felton.

Clippers have mo Williams. They'd probably see more value in Crawford than Felton, so they can have a decent player at the 2.

I think the Heat need a guy more to stand around and shoot 3s, why take the ball out of Wade and Lebron's hands. Wouldn't mind TPE and a 1st from the Lakers, however.

You make a lot of sense in your post gramps, but I'm just done with watching the failure of Crawful and Felton. I'd much rather have the nightmare of our youngsters playing like shit and it being the excuse than watching Felton have a stellar game, then 10 games of insanity. Same goes for Crawful. They have both taking the entire team out of the game. Either it be Nate not drawing up the right plays, or his inability to play unproven youngsters; I really don't care right now. What we do know is Aldridge was benched for Jamal Maglore his rookie season.

And coming from one of the most "Homer optimistic fans in here", I think the majority of this board feels stronger than I do. I'm just tired of this bi-polar play by our team. I would rather suck than look awesome one game and terrible three other games.

You mean like Darren Collison, Kyle Lowry, Rajon Rondo, Jarret Jack, Jordan Farmar, Mario Chalmers, Jeff Teague, and the like?

I'm seriously gonna have an EPIC meltdown if something doesn't happen with Crawful, Nate and or Failton. I don't know why I'm insanily reacting this way. I'm just embarrassed to watch this clown college go to work. It's a fucking joke!

Whatever this emotion is you are having right now is the one I have had for the last few seasons. It just keeps getting worse.

I think Nate will finish out the year. Way too many supporters with the Vulcans. They love their Mr Sonic. Since Nate is also one of the 47 GM's we have, he probably wouldn;t be too keen and dealing Crawford and Felton because even though they suck, they are vets.

    I have to somewhat agree.

The only thing that tempers it for me is the fact these are the players Nate has been given to use. I think he's doing the best he can, but his old school mentality is preventing him to realize what a total loss Failton is and to just get some pt for Williams and Smith and start bringing them along.
