Forget the Failton or Crawfull appreciation thread; cause they won't be here next season. I want to give an appreciation to E. Will!

He will still be a Blazer next season; well unless we trade him or something. This kid has mojo. He is a diamond in the rough, just like Batum. I think he has that chip on his shoulder to constantly improve his game and the ability to be really good in the NBA.

I'm really excited about this kid. I think he has a great future in the NBA!

I'd really like to see what he could do with starters minutes on a consistent basis. If nothing else for a 5 game stretch

I would love to see him get more minutes. The energy he brings is contagious and of course we all love the spectacular dunks.

Love his energy. Reminds me of how Bayless was just fearless.

It would have been awesome to see our vets put up some of their own $$$ to get him in the dunk contest. Maybe pool together a nice chunk of $$$ and tell Stern they will add it to the prize money if he lets E.Will in.

I guess EW beat Shumpert in the McD's high school dunk contest.

He had some great cuts to the basket last night. Another thing was how high he gets up to rebound the basketball.

That's all huh? There's not much of a career in that line of work.

He reminds me of Bayless ... if Bayless were two inches taller and didn't have alligator arms.

    An E Will tweet:

Elliot Williams @ewill901 Man I tried to sleep in this morning but I'm programmed to wake up for practice at 730.... I don't like this at all.

Are the Blazers done practicing this week?

Damn . . . seems like a wed/thur practices would have been a good idea.

Maybe players are burnt out and need extra R&R.

Jeremy Evans (Jazz) is replacing Shumpert in the dunk contest.

What's a good comparison for Williams? He's skinny and short for a SG and, although he played spot minutes at PG for Duke and Memphis, he has shown NO PG skills yet, on a team desperate for them.

There are some short SGs (Eric Gordon, for example) but they tend to be stocky. I guess Dwyane Wade was about the same size as Williams coming in, but that's reaching a bit...

He really is a gunner, though.
