PHOENIX, Ariz. – When Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio announces the findings of the first official law-enforcement investigation into the questions surrounding Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility for office at a news conference Thursday, March 1, WND TV will be there to provide exclusive live-streaming, founder and Editor Joseph Farah announced today. Apparently somebody got their hands on Obama's admissions forms from Occidental College. He applied for aid as a foreign student under the name Barry Soetero and received it, or so goes the story. I know, it's foolish, but it does point to a larger question. A lot of this stuff would be cleared up if Obama would just release his college records, as Bush, Gore, Clinton, Kerry, McCain, and others have done. Why not just release all of his college transcripts? Seems easy enough to do, doesn't it?
It is a bit weird that none of the politicians show their transcripts before they become presidential contenders. When I was working for The Man, my first three jobs while climbing the ladder required me to give authorized transcripts of my collegiate records to the HR departments. Hell, my first job was with E and J Gallo in 1996, the base was only $34k, and I had to wait 5 days to start because my undergrad school took forever to mail my transcripts to the HR department. Second and third companies still required transcripts. By the fourth, I had a track record of success, and college didn't matter at all.
Fuck dude, I don't trust Obama one bit. Not that I have much faith in politicians as it is, and while I have significant doubts about Obama being a foreigner, to this point, his level of avoidance (for the most part), does make me a bit curious. I don't care to spend much time following this, until a potential significant development is released on this. Perhaps something interesting will be released. The bigger question I have on Obama..... He and Blagojevich were ol' chums in Illinois, before the push for the election. There's been some speculation in the IL media about the ties and what other potential misconduct could have been taking place, but Obama really controls the media IMO, and I believe that's why we don't see more talk about it in the national media. And Blago gets penalized. This is reverse-affirmative action mixed with law. The white guy takes it in the end.
Ahh.... Papa, you're a Gallo guy. And suddenly, my understanding of PapaG grows quite a bit. How long did you work there?
It's true. Given how far into the presidency we are... and unless some undeniable fact presents itself that is so undisputable that it keeps Obama from running for re-election, it will be all for naught. I would imagine anything less that is found would simply result in more research, and potentially run through the legal system, which could take a lot of time and would likely be pointless in the end. The fact that people waste so much time on this just tells me how desperate many in the country feel, whether or not it's Obama's fault (though I tend to believe it has to do with how many people are unhappy with Obama).
Yeah, the birther stuff is nonsense, and never would have mattered anyhow. What we need are forged National Guard memos that supposedly show Obama went AWOL. That's a real campaign issue for a sitting President.
One of my co-workers is a Gallo guy. And I come across a lot more Gallo guys in my line of work (all of which are happy to have left Gallo). But most everyone I have met that worked for Gallo are all about the same, personality-wise. It's odd (in that I've never met so many similar personalities that have come from one company). I mean, every company I've ever worked for.... everyone was so different. But Gallo? They're all the same, for better or for worse. Not knocking the personality, but being a numbers guy, I find the odds of so many similar personalities at one place unlikely. Unless you work at some very quirky place....
Everybody I worked with at Gallo were fun and outgoing. Confident, bordering on cocky, but I don't have a problem with that sort of person.
It's true, but for those of us who are not Gallo people, I find the Gallo people I deal with through work to be a bit overly cocky/annoying. This isn't reference to you, so please don't take it as a slight, but in reference to those I deal with on a regular basis, the rest of my co-workers and I just kind of roll our eyes and tune out the Gallo people we deal with regularly.
Gallo has a very selective recruiting process, or at least they used to have one. For every 100 or so candidates they identified when I was there, one would get hired. Because of this, having Gallo on the resume is a very good thing, and it tends to give one confidence early in their business career. Of course, if you're unsuccessful, the cockiness/confidence goes away, but honestly, I can't think of a fellow person that Gallo recruited when I was there that either isn't with upper management or has moved up in other companies. Knowing you're in the wine biz, I'm guessing you have run into a former Gallo guy, now working as a broker, with the initials JP for first and last name, and while he comes across as cocky/confident, he's also a hell of a smart guy, and has reason to be confident.
