    Sure it is, even if it's the religion of anti-religion. It even has evangelists.

    The courts have also ruled it is a religion, as is secular humanism, for purposes of the 1st amendment.

    I am not confusing anything.

    The courts are quite right in their ruling and treatment of atheism. Consider if the govt. tried to restrict peoples' worship of atheism. In fact, that's exactly what the govt. tried to do and why the cases went in front of the courts.

    The atheist won't accept that he belongs to a religion. It's cool. I wouldn't mind if there was an organized religion for agnostics, but then again, the leader would just get up on stage, look to the sky, shrug his shoulders, and we'd all go home and get on with our lives.
