With NY fans having mixed feelings on Melo (boos) do you think they would want to trade Melo?

Crawford, Wallace and Thomas for Melo and their first rounder

Portland Trades: Wallace, Crawford and Thomas. They receive NY's pick and Melo.

NY trades: Melo and their first rounder. They receive Wallace, Crawford and Thomas.

Then I would make a second trade with Cleveland for Sessions:

Felton and E. Will for Sessions

Then I would resign Patty mills, since we would have enough roster space to get him.

New starting 5: PG: Sessions, SG: Batum, SF: Melo, PF: Aldridge, Center: Camby

Key reserves: Patty Mills, Matthews, Babbit (sf), Rino and Pryzbilla.

they don't have their pick. But I'd very easily do that without the pick.

The only problem with this deal is it would probably save Nate's job. He would have that ISO superstar, like roy, that can bail him out for his bad coaching.

Shit I forgot about that! DAMMIT! Yeah I think it's a good deal in terms of getting talent for talent. I think this makes NY much better as well. They have a defensive SF and a decent starting quality SG to work with Lin sanity. They could be one of the best defensive teams in the NBA after this is all said and done.

And another thing that would be awesome is Denver fans get to see Melo 4 times a season. It would be nice to always beat them out in the NW division and I'm sure Melo would bring his "A" game to make it happen.

Aldridge is a Robin, and would fit with Melo perfectly. Sessions would be a good PGotF

When did Portland become a big market? Melo is an ass when he is happy. Just think what he would be like if he was pissed that he had to move to Portland from Manhattan.

Denver a big market? And who gives a fuck? He's signed for 4 years with no player option. He isn't going anywhere. If he decides to not play, then the league can fine him. I think he wants to be #1; which would be the case in Portland. In NY, he is the third option. Or at least should be.

I can't see them moving Melo just because "their fans are unhappy".

Did he want to stay in Denver? No and he forced himself out. Sure you could use him to make a trade, but he and his wife would bitch and moan until he got out. He is not worth the head ache.

You have a point. Just tossing an idea out there. This deal can't happen this summer because all our contracts are expiring. Although, they may do a sign and trade with Wallace and we would have enough cap space to absorb the contract. That would give them one hell of a TE.

How bad of a coach is D'Antoni? He has 'Melo and Stoudemire and can't win with them.

Who should be options 1 and 2 in NYC? You're not saying Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, are you? The Lin thing is over at this point, and fat old Baron Davis is starting to take minutes from him.

D' Antoni is a terrible coach, IMO. I think he had one of the best talent pool in Phoenix (Prime Nash, Prime Amire, Prime Matrix and great role players), yet failed each and every year in the playoffs. Melo is a terrible fit for him in NY. He doesn't know how to coach a ball dominant wing. He is used to players like Matrix (support players).

Lin started failing the moment Melo came back. Move Melo and Linsanity will be bigger than ever. Obviously Melo isn't helping things in NY. They didn't win last season and they aren't going to win this season. As long as Melo is in NY, they are toast.

Lin had a great three-week run, but he's as ball-dominant a PG as you'll find in the NBA, and he can't defend at all. There is a reason he was on 2-week contracts at XMas.
