Yeah, wonder if that was actually a consideration for the Blazers mgmt, a last respect for the old man possibly.

I don't mind seeing how Flynn/Thabeet do. It shakes things up a little bit. I like it.

Yeah, if nothing else it infuses the team with some more youth and will create competition for the starting spots.

Talk about falling fast. Weren't both Flynn and Thabeet top 7 picks a few years ago?

He'll probably play a little more motivated now. Oh well.

Oh have no doubt, Thabeet sucks ass, but Flynn might be salvageable.

That's a very good deal. Two very good deals for the Blazers today. I must be dreaming.

I like this deal. They're all FA's, so no hurt on the cap. But it's a tryout. Both were highly thought of prospects at one time. Let all the young guys play and see if they can do anything. Are either RFA's? Or just unrestricted?

I think we have too many players on the roster now.

Essentially: Camby and Wallace for Flynn, Thabeet, Okur, Williams.

So overall, Camby and Wallace for Okur, Thabeet, Flynn, 1st rounder from Houston, 2nd rounder from Houston, and Shawne Williams. No longer term deals. Draft pick, and removal of a supposed bad egg. I'm liking this so far.

Two good deals, but unfortunately, it's with the eye on the future. So it's going to be a tough finish, but it'd be easier to watch if they really let Babbitt, Thabeet, Flynn, and Smith play with Batum, Wes, LA.... We'd lose most games, but give the young guys a tryout, since we're going nowhere but down anyway.
