    GREAT DEAL!

Just hope they don't get one of the top 3 picks! That would suck!

How can you not like this deal? We have the possibility of getting a really good player in the draft and we don't have to pay Wallace for being a bum.

Tom Penn on ESPN was just raving about the Portland side of the deal. Says the draft pick is a great deal for Portland, and that the Nets must have thought very highly of Wallace to give it up.

I love this trade. I honestly don't think there could have been a better outcome for Wallace. Truly sad though that it ended this way. I was so excited to get him last year and he was honestly one of my favorite players on the team until this season. Very sad.

If NJ does get a top3 pick and keeps it, I assume we would get their 2013 pick, if so would there be restrictions next year?

Overall great trade if it's a top10 pick, we gave up two middle of the round picks both lottery picks last year for a possible top10 pick. Wallace was one of my favorite Blazers but with Roy and Oden retiring the timeline has changed and a retool was necessary.

Great deal for Portland. Getting a lotto pick instead of losing Gerald for nothing is just icing on the cake. And we avoid having him opt in next year. Now we just need to hope NJ doesn't land in the top 3.

Or that they click and starting winning like crazy? We need them to stay right about where they are.

Yeah, everyone's overlooking that aspect. They gave up two guys that are out with injury and get back a guy in Wallace who makes them quite a bit better. Not a stretch at all to see them make the playoffs, in which case they gambled on getting a starter in exchange for a ho-hum pick.

Are you guys aware that after everything is said and done, we could be the one team that has the highest cap space available? And to boot, we still have a core of three very good players of Batum, Aldridge and E Will; then 2 good first rounders in a deep draft. Things are looking pretty bright today!

Possible, but then, has GW been playing this season like a guy you'd want to bank on being a starter for the next few years?

I can see that happening, really. I mean, looking at the roster, it's not like we're going super young or anything.

    Felton/Nolan/Flynn
    Wes/Crawford
    Batum/Babbitt
    Aldridge/Smith
    Joel/Thomas

That still has the potential to be a fringe playoff team. Especially if Felton improves(how can he not?)

Wow. You are already penciling E Will in as a "very good player"? Call me crazy, but I think I need to see a wee bit more from E Double before declaring him a cornerstone of the franchise.

If we play Felton over Flynn I'm going to be disappointed. Felton shouldn't even sniff the court.
