You don't agree with them? be prepared for NateBishop to accuse you for working for the blazers for only having those opinions. Oh wait...

Nah, we know HCP is a homer, but he posts on here all the time. You only seem to show up to defend the honor of McMillan.

You got what you wished for three years ago when you were rooting for the team to tank so you would be "right" about McMillan.

This organization is a joke. As for the Clippers, Sterling's biggest problem was he kept around inept people for too long (Elgin Baylor), and wouldn't spend money. With the new CBA, he can now be competitive, and he finally has allowed a decent basketball person to run his team.

Paul Allen is a fucking joke, and is the laughingstock of the NBA right now.

Based on your avatar, it seems like you're already onto the next scapegoat. Some of us have known the real problem for years, but didn't spend hour after hour whining about superfluous factors.

I doubt people think he is the laughing stock of the NBA. In fact you defending Sterling and then calling Paul Allen a fucking joke says about all that it needs to say about your deposition tonight which from what I can see is "Pissed off McMillian was fired so this franchise can suck a fat one".

You think the coach is a "superfluous factor"?

    Uhhh...

If you think Donald Sterling's biggest problem was (and still is) not surrounding himself with competent basketball people, you must have not read any news on Donald Sterling in the last ten years.

If you think Paul Allen is more of a laughing stock than Donald Sterling, then you must not think repeated, blatant racism and sexism is a serious matter:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4187729
    http://www.justice.gov/crt/about/hce/documents/sterlingcomp.php

I would take Paul Allen over Donald Sterling any day of the week (and several other owners, in fact). Really, you're just being ridiculous now - either being completely oblivious or willfully ignoring several documented instances over DECADES of dehumanizing, illegal activity on the behalf of Donald Sterling.

Sterling has a playoff team. Allen has no GM, he just fired the only person in the organization with any NBA credibility, and he traded away two assets for draft picks that aren't going to be worth shit. As for a laughingstock, I spent literally the entire day in the RG as the news kept hitting the wire, and by the end, most people in my section were laughing at Paul Allen and his idiocy.

LMA is the next to go this summer.

Oh, and this franchise can "suck a fat one", as it proved today.

Yeah, it wasn't "dehumanizing" at all to Kevin Pritchard when Allen banished him from the coveted seat next to King Paul, yet didn't fire him.

There is a reason Paul Allen's personal wealth has shrunk the past 10 years, while his peers in the ridiculously wealthy have seen their net worth increase.

It's because he's a guy that was lucky to know Bill Gates, and has lived his life in a bubble since then.

I'd rather have Sterling, because at least with him you knew that the problem was just trying to make a buck.

I don't get this "The whole writing is on the wall were losing our franchise player and will be mired in mediocrity for years to come". It seems almost a complete 180 for you. one of those draft picks is going to be lottery picks in one of the supposed deepest drafts since 2003 giving us 2 lottery picks to pair up with LMA/BAtum/Mathew/Ewill and whoever we can entice in FA with our large amount of capspace. We did these trades to not be mired in Mediocrity for years.
Also how were these guys assets? Cambys play was horrible as of late and he was going to retire at the end of the year leaving us with nothing, Wallace was so inconstant he made Batum look as consistent as Duncan and was either going to be here next year for almost our entire capspace on a Body that is showing way to much wear and tear from his seasons in the NBA, or we were going to lose him for nothing.
I get the Coach thing, but everything else just doesn't make sense to me.

It's not a 180 for me. I've thought Paul Allen was the problem all along, and until he sells the team or gives up control of it (along with his lackeys), nothing is going to improve. I'm not even pissed about Nate being fired, since even I have said it was time for him to go (mostly for his own sake).

Godspeed to anyone who walks into this mess. The Blazers don't have a GM, and they have a coach who is the last of the Yes Men on the staff.

Why does everything have to be so extreme for you?

BTW, you hold grudges like none other. I bet you drive your wife nuts when you guys argue, tossing shit out that she said five to ten years ago lol

I'm sorry - did you just try to compare Kevin Pritchard being asked to sit elsewhere, and subsequently released for doing a relatively poor performance at his job to sexual harassment and racism?

Yes, there are several reasons he's lost a good chunk of wealth in the last ten years. Some are poor business investments, it is true. Of course, he's also donated a good portion of his own money to charities, as well as scientific causes (I'd thought you knew he's stated he's wished to donate a percentage of his total wealth before he passes away, as well as continuing to fund grants for space travel and mapping the entire human brain for scientific purposes - to be fair, perhaps I shouldn't have since you seemed completely unaware of Donald Sterling's long, embattled history of being a consistent sexual offender and racist; alas, if only google).

Well, I'm glad it is okay if someone is sexually harassing both women and their players over decades in addition to being a horrific racist - as long as if it is for capitalistic gain, of course. This explains so much as to why you prefer Sterling, and says so much (or perhaps little) about you.

As 'Sheed would say, CTC (except you know, he probably wouldn't endorse the whole sexual harassment and racist thing).

Heck Papa G, I even agree with you about PA....but I don't agree on your interpretation of today's events.

One of 2 things has happened: either PA is setting up to sell the team, or the basketball people finally got through to him that big changes were needed. Whichever is true, you should see it as a positive.

Where did I post that I preferred Sterling? They're both shit. Sterling's shit just smells better today.

Maybe Buchanon and Bourne (or however that's spelled) aren't complete idiots. Maybe it's guys the public never hears about.

This team has been dominated by big personalities (KP and Nate) and the (yech!) Vulcans. Just maybe we have people in the front office that know what they are doing, but have been the fall guys for the big egos.

The point is, somebody got the team to clean house. It was the right move (if painful) and kudos to them!

Papa's just mad that the team he loves to hate did something to improve itself. And the individuals who did it are his enemies, Allen and Miller.

For the second time in 20 years. That's some shining example to follow right there.

Consider this - in their best season with Sterling as owner, they've managed to win four (4) more basketball games than Paul Allen's. Fortunately, Allen is not content with that level of performance.

And yes, I will be renewing my season tickets because these colors don't run.
