Would have picked the same: Felton Mathews Batum LMA Przybilla http://www.nba.com/blazers/tbtv/video.html?videoID=3339 Edit: Great Interviews with Wes, Coach C, LMA, and Crawford ^ Sucks we no longer have Camby, we could have been good with a new system in place.
I would have had a real serious talk with Felton first to see where his head was at. If he couldn't convince me it was in a better place, I would have started anyone other than him.
And no new system is going to get Marcus Camby moving quickly again or suddenly make Raymond Felton any good. At least any system that wouldn't take an entire offseason to practice.
Just say "NO" to Felton. Does anybody doubt he was part of the locker-room mutiny? Why is he being rewarded?
Because, as sorry as he's been this year as a PG, he's the best one we have available. He won't be here next year, so why stew over something as insignificant as how much PT he gets in these final 23 games.
Was just about to post the same. Awesome job, Blazers. What a joke. Although, the other side of it is..... I guess we'll only have 10-11 active players for the game tonight, so go with what is natural. But once we have everyone, Felton should take a back seat. He's caused so much turmoil, we should sit him. I'd love to kill his FA value, but considering our situation, and we need to sign FA's, that would look terrible. So we kind of have to bend and take it.
He really only has 6 to choose from, and Joel won't play many minutes, so in reality Crawford is the 5th "starter" but will come off the bench. We can either try to play excellent smallball, or get painted-over in the paint if we try to play big.
Why play Felton at this point? Start Nolan Smith and see what he can give you. What's the point of this team pushing for the 8th spot with Felton as the PG? First decision Canales had to make, and he failed.
