A classy professional farewell. Not sure if he means it, but it's a nice message nonetheless. Good luck to Greg.

I notice that Mehmet Okur didn't bother thanking Portland for his time here. Ungrateful bastard.

Shit, with all that free money he was given, he probably didn't give a second thought paying to having someone write the statement for him!

Books will be written about the 2007 draft and its aftermath for two franchises.

I'm guessing Jason Quick has a lot of great stories he'll write about someday.

It's true, yet so sad and funny.

Things would be vastly different for both franchises if those two players switch places. Of course, Oden would have only been like the 4th or 5th injury-prone, underachieving center the Sonics/Thunder would have drafted in the 1st round round of consecutive drafts.

I work with a Turkish guy who was super pissed yesterday when we cut Okur. He said "Fuck the Blazers" in his broken English when I told him the news. He's a Bucks fan now.

SlyPokerDog is not classy. He's a petulant child who is wishing continued injury upon a young man who did nothing wrong but have his own body break down on him. If you don't think it takes hard work to try to come back from three microfracture surgeries (unheard of), a broken kneecap, and a partially broken foot then I don't know what would please you.

Oh boo fucking hoo that Greg's injuries prevented him from playing more than a year of basketball for us, I'm more concerned for the future of his knees and quality of life. I'm so sorry that he's upset because he didn't get the nice shiny toy he thought he was promised, because life changes. Stop throwing a tantrum.

I'm tired of hypocritical Blazer fans. Tired of this shit. SlyPokerDog and no one else here and elsewhere have the gall to complain that 'LIFE IS SO UNFAIR FOR BLAZER FANS, WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS? We're the best fans in the nba! Perhaps all of sports! We're amazing, outstanding, why does bad shit always happen to us.' Then he's crying that mantra call guys like Greg a con artist, a thief, a lazy bastard, actually WISH continued bodily harm to him. Curse him, boo him, wouldn't be surprised if he spat at his feet if he met him.

Wanna know a secret? We aren't the best fans in the NBA. Wanna know another? It's because of fans like that, people like SlyPokerDog, who are sniveling little children who actually think they're more entitled to success in sports than a guy is in health.

Oh u mean what his publicist wrote? Lol. Dude have you seen his normal posts? Hardly capable of writing that piece. He doesn't give a shit about the blazers or the fans. So guess what?! I don't give a shit about him.

"Dishing out" seems to be based on intent, doesn't it? You were intentionally mean.

I don't think that he was ever intentionally hurt and/or intentionally letting down fans.
