Comparing apples and oranges. The team is drastically different. Playing to your team's strengths probably does have a correlation to winning. I don't know that many people want to run just for the sake of running.
I agree with your last point BB30, but there is no way to measure or prove that this current roster was designed to run. We certainly were running more and winning less though. I don't think comparing PACE from this year to last year is apples and oranges at all. Roy was out a lot last year. We replaced Miller with Felton, but had a very similar rotation of players.
We were running more and winning less because McMillan doesn't know how to coach. Not because there was something wrong with running.
Haha, interesting theory with nothing to back it up. How many people in the NBA do know how to coach and what are their names?
Actually, as Ed O mentioned, our pace, as compared to the league, has fallen greatly since the beginning of the year. Also falling off greatly since the beginning of the year... our winning. I'm not saying this proves we should run more, but your second sentence just doesn't hold any water. And Wallace. And a starting Batum for some of the year. I think the rotation at the middle of this year was pretty different from the rotation at the middle of last year.
