Big difference. 6'3" 160lbs is so scrawny. There's no way he was throwing around a 200lb+ man. Zimmerman probably just didn't like the feeling of getting his ass kicked by a younger, smaller guy, knew there was no witnesses so he pulled out his gun and shot him.
Trayvon shouldn't have punched Zimmerman, then. As a scrapper, I'm sure you know that you never know who is holding what, be it a gun or a knife. Unless the theory now is that Zimmerman attacked Martin first, and then waited until he was getting his ass kicked before pulling out his gun and murdering Trayvon in a hate crime, all as part of a plan to claim self-defense. That makes a lot of sense...
Yeah, probably from his DL which is a year old (did they find ID on him?) so he probably grew in that year since. His weight flucuates in the media between 140-160lbs.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/27/justice/florida-teen-shooting-witnesses/index.html Benjamin Crump, the Martin family lawyer, says Martin's girlfriend's account of what happened connects the dots and destroys Zimmerman's claims of self-defense. The girl, who did not want to be identified, said she was on the phone with the teen before the shooting. When Zimmerman got closer to Martin, she told her boyfriend to run, but Martin told her that he was not going to run, she said. "What are you stopping me for?" Martin asked Zimmerman, according to the girl. "What are you doing around here?" Zimmerman asked in response. The girl said she then got the impression that an altercation was taking place and that someone had pushed Martin, because the headset fell out of his ear, and the phone shut off. STOMP
Do any of the witnesses who saw the fighting describe seeing the gun go off? I know people heard it from inside their house, but seems like the witness the two on the ground, but not one getting shot.
Plus Martin allegedly punched a bus driver a few weeks ago, according to his now-closed Facebook account, so it's not like he wasn't known to be violent.
Punched him in the face, then lifting his head up and down and smashing it on the ground isn't really that heavy of lifting.
alledgedly, based on some post on his twitter account, he's got a history of violence. Let's ignore Zimmerman's factual history of violence then? One has a KNOWN history of violence. The other has a post on twitter. No charge from a bus driver, nothing else on that.
You never do know who has what. Thats why he should have heeded the dispatchers warnings to not take matters into his owns hands. Its not really far-fetched to believe that Zimmerman, a dumb rent-a-cop, working for the neighborhood watch approached Trayvon and told him to stay here until the authorities arrive. Trayvon was probably like, who the fuck are you kept walking and then it got physical. At this stage, with no witnesses to the ensuing altercation and half the story dead from a gunshot wound, I think all theories are plausible.
lol, were playing internet PI on defunct facebook accounts now? Well that throws this case a monkey wrench.
Except no, that's what the police said but Tracy Martin said he never told them that. In fact, he does say it was Trayvon. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/16/trayvon-martin-911-audio-_n_1354909.html Better make sure those crazy WS sites don't tell you anymore lies, like when they posted up pictures of a completely different Trayvon Martin from Georgia and tried to make it look like it was Trayon Martin from Florida (I'm sure some of you here totally ignored the not so subtle implications that the Trayvon Martin from Georgia was dressed a certain way so he obviously deserved what was coming to him, and will ignore how this is very much a problem in society while claiming this isn't a race issue when it is). Oh, to live in such a bubble.
I'm not ignoring anything. You seem to be the person ignoring the known testimony and statements, and replacing it with speculation and "what if". It's a fun mental exercise, but it means nothing in terms of whether or not Zimmerman should be charged. Zimmerman seems like a kook that thought he was a security cop. He got punked by a kid, wet his pants, and shot the kid dead while he was getting his head slammed into the ground.
What the fuck are you babbling about this time? Slow down and tell me what this means. I have no clue what it's supposed to mean. What is a "WS" site?
Yeah, you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt to be able to convict someone though. Burden of proof is on the prosecution. Zimmerman is innocent until proven guilty. yadda yadda yadda.
I'm sorry I started this thread. The hate, ignorance, and prejudice on display here (on both sides) just makes me ill for humanity. A 17 year old boy is dead. Regardless of how he died, it's a tragedy, and some of you are almost happy about it, since it affirms your worldviews. Shame on you all.
