This is where it's headed. The pitchfork and torch crowd will be headed up by people screaming that he shouldn't have been following the kid after the police told him not to. Well, actually, that crowd will be following Al and Jesse.

You can shoot someone and its not a crime. It isn't just arrest everyone because a set of circumstances occurred without any real proof of a crime happening.

i could sneak into someones house and shoot them in the face, and if nobody saw me, i could just say that they kidnapped and raped me, and that i shot them in a sex fueled blood orgy

well, if there isn't any inconsistencies in your story and you can prove you were kidnapped and raped (or at least fake it to a reasonable degree). the thing is, these things are hard to fake all the way through.

Suppose a woman is beat up by a man to the point where she fears for her life and kills him with a gun she had. Then what, should she be arrested for manslaughter and let the "courts figure it out"?

Injuries on the back of the head. Grass stains on his back. Broken nose. What else do you need here, he was clearly being attacked.

yeah, but let's just arrest him, put him on trial without any evidence of any crime occurring. the amurrican way!

Well, unless there is clear and convincing evidence of this, there really isn't a case.

didnt say there was, just noticing the hypocrisy. it seems odd to jump all over other peoples hypotheticals when you yourself seem to be keen on throwing out your own under the guise of "fact"

Seem to be quite a few pitchfork and torches people in this thread. Reason, logic, and due process seems to not matter in this case. I wonder why that would be?

It's what is known on the record. You're saying what "could have" happened, and there is nothing on the record to indicate that is was happened. You can't, or at least shouldn't, be able to get a conviction on what "could have" happened, with absolutely zero evidence to support it. Of course, this jury pool is so tainted, I don't think Zimmerman has a shot at a fair trial, even if charges are brought. If evidence shows up that his plan all along was to kill Trayvon Martin, it was obviously a pretty shitty and now well-thought out plan. However, if evidence arises, I fully expect him to be charged, as he should be.

The ignorance surrounding due process in this thread, and in America in general, is really sad.

Well, if that means going strictly by the police report, then sure, I guess. You and the rest of the Gestapo should make and arrest and then "find the facts" afterward. ;)

oh give it a rest, ive already said that if there is a case they will charge him, whether he is guilty or not, only he himself knows.

and im all for due process, thats why oj was clearly proven innocent

You folks that want to let the courts sort it out....you understand that GZ will have to pay tens of thousands of dollars (for attorney fees and court costs) to (hopefully, for his perspective) be found not guilty, right?
