Not really. He always takes the company line, and fans will hate on him for that. He's always reminding folks that he does work for the Blazers so of course, his views are slanted. So for him to come out to say that is pretty out of the ordinary.

I think just the opposite. MB tells people Felton won't be hear when the Blazers are doing everything they can to increase season ticket sales. Sounds exactly like a company line to me.

Serious question: are you related to Felton? Sleeping with him? Or are you just trolling?

I agree that D-Will or Rondo are a longshot at best, and Felton probably will be a b\u somehwere else, his play this season has been that bad, but it shouldn't be here....I'd rather see POR roll out Flynn or Nolan Smith or another draft pick or FA signeee, ANYONE but that guy....and I think you are plain wrong if you think Felton would be ok with being a backup....Let alone that you would trust his commitment to fitness and effort AFTER he has a multi year contract....

Let him go...good riddance to bad rubbish...

Nope, just open minded. The past does not define the future. And when analyzing players, people too, you must look at the overall potential, not just the easy to see failures of the past. There were many many factors that went into Felton's breakdown this season, and it's not all black and white.

Felton is young, is obviously still maturing and has a lot of room for growth. With the proper polishing, comfort with this team and system, he has the ability to become a strong pass first PG. Also, his defensive capability is above any PG's we've seen here the last few years, like it or not.

The real test is the b2b game. Felton has been poor on the 2nd of the back 2 back

HB... Felton is my least favorite Blazer of all time and yet I still think you have the right mindset about the topic. Having said that, we better not offer him a bunch of money because he hasn't proven he warrants it.

It seems likely to me that if he is resigned, he comes back fat and happy. Or fatter and happier. And he still won't give a crap what the fans think of him, as he has already stated. That doesn't sound like a good recipe.

Now that he is playing for himself (ie his next contract), he is showing what he can do. Where was he when the TEAM needed him and the season was still salvagable? Oh...that's right.....he was too busy taking part in a locker-room mutiny.

Being in denial is not the same as keeping an open mind.

I would only sign him under a contract that required him to hire a personal trainer/nutritionist and had a clause that he had to be below a certain % body fat at start of training camp and pass a fitness test or Blazers would have option of docking him one million dollars or terminating the contract. If that type of contract is not allowed, then a contract starting at 2 million a year with huge bonuses if he met those tests.

Neither are allowed. Basically any bonuses must be like 15% of the base contract. So if he has a base if 2 mil, then you can only offer 300,000k in signing bonuses.

I could care less how well he played. Sandbagging MFer needs to be off this team next season.
