I like Jeremy Lamb a lot too, for some reason he reminds me of a Rudy Gay kind of player in that he has a lot of natural scoring ability. I think Lamb will be able to score in the NBA, but will be kind of a guy who puts up alot of shots to do it and doesn't add a whole lot else to the team....

When I watch Rudy Gay, I am like, he's a good player, can really score, but I never get the sens that he adds much else to MEM other than that...I get that same kind of impression about Lamb....But having said that, I would not mind if POR drafted him, I think he would be a definite upgrade at SG.

    Yet...

I think he has the potential to be a PG, but he could end up a SG as well, which I dont think would be terrible fallback either. I mean you could say the same about Lillard, except he is 6'2, not the kind of size you want as a SG....

Even look at a guy like Westbrook had a 1.74 a\to as a soph and wasn't nearly as good as a frosh as Rivers...Admittedly I see Rivers as more of a scoring PG, but in today's NBA that is pretty par for the course and I think he has great potential to develop into that #2 (#1?) guy next to LaMarcus.....moreso than Beal or Lamb....

    Just a hunch :smiley-shrug:

I like Rivers. What does being a "pure" PG mean anyway. The last one was Kidd/Nash

I would say it's a guy who looks to pass or run an offense first and only scores out of necessity or to keep a defense honest ... It also has a lot to do with hard to quantify things like leadership, vision, on target passing, understanding how and who to setup, etc.

Kendall Marshall is a true PG. It's really getting to the point in the league that true PG's aren't needed though.

Ironically, DraftExpress recently said that Marshall was the best playmaker college basketball has seen since Jason Kidd.

Btw, check out Swish Scout -- IMO this is the second best draft site after DX. They also make some great comparisons.

He makes a compelling argument for Andre Drummond:

He's the age Oden was as a senior in HS and 20 lbs. heavier with comparable athletic ability. Can the Blazer finally have some luck and have a Drummond/Beal draft?

    Or.. Drummond/Marshall draft.

    Fez for GM.

Maybe not, but they sure don't hurt if you have established guys like LaMarcus or Batum already on your team who seem to do better when people are setting them up.

I think he's going to be one this year who increases his draft stock the most.

I think he goes around the 9th spot -- I don't see him getting past Utah.
