Down here the news was speculating that he may have been in some sort of treatment after his crash. No one knew anything specific, but he was very low key (as in no one saw him) for a while after that. Who knows if that is true or not though. Marcellus Wiley was on earlier and said even when it came to injuries, Seau hating letting people seeing him hurt/injured. He later mentioned that maybe this was the same case for his personal issues, that he may have just masked the pain when in public so well none of his friends suspected anything.
Or, the first attempt was the crash, and the demons never left him. I'm just incredibly sad for his family. I'm a Raider fan, but Seau was an opposing player you always respected, just because he was such a class act. One of my favorite leadership moments from him is in this video. You know he must have been thinking 'I really have to deal with this idiot Leaf AGAIN??'.
Do you have any proof of this? I'm not saying your wrong, but I find it unlikely. I don't believe concussions were diagnosed as accurately in the past which could make them seem more common now.
My girlfriend during my Jr. year of HS killed herself during the end of our Sr. year.......... I am sorry, but this is a chicken-shit way of going out! He had 3 kids? Are you fucking kidding me? He fucked those kids over if you ask me. I wasn't sad when my ex committed suicide, I was mad at her for doing that to her friends and family.
Yeah. one of my close friend's dad commited suicide via GSW on May 1st....2 years ago.... really crazy shit...fucked up....I saw him a week before and he didn't look out of the ordinary and people said he wasn't acting differently or strange..... I didn't even realize it when I IM'd him the Junior Seau story this AM...felt kind of bad after I realized it was a self inflicted wound.
I think that is a fair feeling, I usually feel the same way and I've felt the same way in the past when people close to me have killed themselves. It is extremely selfish and I can't fathom how you can leave your 3 children like that, but in all fairness, you nor I can ever truly know how bad the demons he was battling were. Marcellus Wiley was on the radio and he knew Junior very well. He was talking about how Junior would never get treated for injuries in front of his teammates because he never wanted to show weakness in front of them, so they could always rely on him, Wiley said that he thinks the same mentality came into play here. I am extremely interested in the upcoming autopsy reports and brain studies. I wonder how much of an impact concussions, the big hits, and possible steroid usage had on him.
Google is your friend. But, yes, as you have already mentioned, there will be no "proof", as there werent brain scans back in the day.
It's California, so prices are higher than in other places. But compared to Silicon Valley, the homes are a LOT lower in price. Where I live is a mix of retirees and college kids (USD, UCSD) who rent. The Zillow home index is about $500,000, but that includes the beach front properties that sell in the $millions.
It just doesn't make sense that he would commit suicide. He has fame, money, a good family. I think he just had bad depression issues stemming from childhood. I bet the NFL was a great distraction because he was able to attack and get hit; which enabled him to funnel his pain on the field. Probably why he was so damn good too.
Nice. I don't think I've been up there in a few years. Is it more like OB or PB? We used to live in that eye sore that is Vantage Pointe (high rise right at the final exit of 163), but moved to Broadway last summer.
