If Hollins takes the fall in Memphis, does he become your top coaching hopeful?

I would like to have Lionel Hollins as coach. I think he'd do a good job.

I don't why he would. His team overachieved last year. This year they didn't take a step forward but I still can't see him taking a fall for the season. But yes, I'd def look closely at him if he was available.

I'd be open to Hollins coaching here.

Maybe. But he's done a credible job in Memphis and I don't see a lot of better people looking to coach right now. Maybe Lambier.

I'm not sure I'd go for Hollins; Memphis is as talented as the Blazers in 2008-09, maybe more so, but still couldn't get out of the first round. When this happened to the Blazers, we blamed Nate... so who should we blame when Memphis loses to the Clippers? A lack of superior talent? Or a lack of series adjustments?

How can a team with no center beat a team with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph?

McMillan was fired for much better reasons than that. No one calls Hollins a one-trick pony.

    Hollins couldn't win a game 7 at home. I don't want him.

VCN won a game 7 on the road, would you want him?

If my choices were Nate, Lionel, and Vinnie, I'd take Vinnie. He's not good, but he's the least horrible of the three.

Luckily, we also have an entire range of high school coaches to choose from that blow the doors off those three.

But look who is choosing those candidates right now. That's the scary part

It's out of my control. Me raging about it won't change the price of tea in China.

I disagree. I changed the price of tea in China during one of my Nate is an ass clown threads

Well then, if you have Paul's ear via your super-influential inside source, then tell him to hire a competent coach.

Miller/Mensah/Paul have been striking out most heinously with their GM search...

I expect the same with the coaching search. We'll end up hiring a second-rate candidate.

I will be more surprised if there is a change to be honest with you. I think the jobs will go to Chad and Kaleb because no real candidates will want it. I think some are interested in it though, but will stop after the interview process. Chad will keep Kaleb and I will kill myself. See there, it's a good news day for some of you

I'm not too terribly worried though; even a horrific owner like Donald Sterling can get out of the first round with no center and a second-rate coach.
