Interesting comparison: T-Rob = A more skilled Faried?

Most websites compare him to an Amar'e type of PF.

I have seen him play on tv only, of course, and never thought of Faried. He is smaller than Amare, and Faried is a pretty good comparison, although he is a lot more skilled than Faried

Faried and Amre'e couldn't be more different though.

The next time Amar'e crashes the boards and plays tough defense it'll be the first.

Their offensive games aren't that different, just their motors. Now defense is a different story

I'd love to see an archive of things like this written before each of the last few drafts.

That would be awesome. The only thing I can find that is sort of like that is the draft histories and the players comparisons.

Me too. Some brief review of past drafts on DX seems to indicate that "safe picks" are really not very safe at all. This is part of the reason why I'm usually for drafting homerun type picks, I really don't think their success/bust rate is much worse, if at all.

That's like saying that Pippen was a more skilled Derrick McKey.

Faried is a role player, which isn't at all a criticism of him. If you're drafting at #2, though, I'm hoping the aim is a little bit higher than an undersized 'hustle' guy.

That's what it says. He is a skilled guy with a ridiculous motor

Have they already been measured? Or is that in June at the pre-draft camp in Chicago?

It is funny that Thomas is considered undersized at 6'9" 240 (with a 7' 1" reach) and Davis is the next Tim Duncan at 6 10" 220.

It will be interesting how they all measure out.

I think Davis will have a reach around 9'3" -- the most important combine measurement IMO.

I highly doubt Robinson comes in at much more than 6'7", but those are my own thoughts based on observation.

Me too. Although I was thinking 6'8" and 6'9" in shoes

It's odd he finds things to grips about the can't miss types. Just goes to show how iffy the draft can be.

Probably. And because of it he will start to slip and slip on draft night until we all begin to sweat as he isn't taken in the first 5 picks and who has number #6? Oh Shit then what?

I think at #6 he'd be worth it. I don't see how the guy will bust, but then again, I didn't think Beasley would bust, either.

Rather take him at #6 than make a decision at #2, though. Outside of Davis, I don't think any player is a sure thing in this draft.

How much smaller is he than guys like Josh Smith? David Lee? Luis Scola? Millsap? Ryan Anderson? Hes not as heavy as guys like Love, Zach Randolph, Boozer, etc. but hes also a much better athlete. The PF position has gotten much smaller since the days of Duncan, KG, J. O'Neal, Webber, Sheed, etc. I'd say a 6'10 PF is above average these days.
