He shouldn't be super expensive either.

Hard to see Indiana letting him go. Hometown guy, playing well atm. You'd have to massively overpay.

So yeah, I would think he's pretty expensive if you actually want a chance to sign him. (He's an RFA)

Lin is not a RFA is he? I thought he was a FA with questionable bird rights (like Hickson). So, he may or may not like being in NYC.

I'd be happy with signing Nash to a 2-3 year deal and drafting Marshall for the long term.

So IND is going to sign him AND resign Hibbert to big money????

$13 million to Granger, $10 million to West, $12+ million to Hibbert (very likely), another $11 million tied up in salaries....They have a guard to easily slot in his spot (Collison)...I think chances are good that if he gets a good offer, they will let him go....

Yeah he is more of a scoring guard, most of the better guards are any way. But he is still young at 24, good size, scoring ability and IMO would fit in nicely with Batum & LA....

Would you guys really want to bring Lin here with this medical staff? More meniscus issues for them to fuck up on. We need to cut our trainers ASAP before we focus on getting players, LOL - pipedream

I don't want Lin anyway, with or without a new medical staff.

+1 ... lin is a flash in the pan. turnover prone pg. anyone that gives him big money is more concerned with selling jerseys then winning.

I actually think he might be a decent PG at some point, but it has to be the perfect system with the perfect team around him. And yes, someone will overpay for him

Just bring in Mike D'antoni, assuming you are ok with just making it to the first round again every year.

So basically, sign no PGs, and go with Nolan Smith or Jonny Flynn next year, or a rookie?

The Clips are not going to give Bledsoe away for cheap....POR had that opportunity (with Crawford) and blew it(twice actually)....That ship has sailed unfortunately

POR has very few options for PG IMO...

Inquire about D-Will...but don't anticipate him signing here, but you have to inquire...

Go after Dragic and if you can't get him, make a big offer to Hill....b\c after that there are a lot of PG (Brooks, Nelson, Augustin, Hinrich, West, Udrih, Farmar, Bayless) who are similiar that you could pick up near the end of the FA period.....

So if you don't get D-Will, Dragic or Hill then you try and sign a stopgap and draft a rookie...

I don't really care for Marshall in the draft...I like Teague a lot and I think he will rise in the draft....Not sure about Lillard...I think Wroten could end up being a genius pick...but he may end up as a SG and not a PG, but talent wise, he is clearly the most talented IMO....I like J'Covan Brown and Tyshawn Taylor as late 1st\early 2nd sleeper type PG...

Best bet is if you could get a Dragic or Hill and then pick up a Teague (wishful thinking) with a late 1st or Brown\Taylor (possible) with a 2nd...

That would free you up to use #6 & #11 on BPA...likely a wing and a big...

POR could still have some cap space left over to go after a FA big as well...2nd\3rd tier FA types like Kaman, Asik, Jeremy Evans (underated), Jordan Hill, Mahinmi, Humphries, Beasley (do you take the risk and get him on the cheap?)

My, but Blazer fans sure feel entitled to expensive signings. Enjoy it while you can, because next time Paul Allen gets cancer will be the end of your fantasies.

    Nice guy, jlprk.

But of course if the Blazers bring back Bob Whitsitt he'll find a cure for cancer.

I don't have a lot of faith in someone who admitted he doesn't have a degree in chemistry to find a cure for cancer
