We need to keep in mind these mocks are just random opinions......... what I have overheard over the past few years from people is that DraftExpress and Chad Ford's opinions are held the highest.

I just meant as an undersized SG.

McCants wasn't much of a shooter. I think Beal is more in the Eric Gordon/James Harden type of player.

    *High basketball IQ
    *Great shooting mechanics
    *Intangibles
    *Solid athletic ability, not great.

Many overlook his skillset and focus on his lateral quickness and leaping ability. I'd much rather have a smart/cerebral player than an athletic freak with shit for brains. This is huge mistake GM's often make.

    -NBAdraft.net on James Harden pre-draft.

    Draftexpress on James Harden pre-draft.

Shot over 40% from 3 every year in college. Beal shot 34% last season from deep. He's the better shooter because of what he did in HS?

I was under the impression that Chad Ford knows his shit. Am I way off?

He was on the Darko-over-Lebron bandwagon FWIW

I think Beal will be a good NBA player. I just think the eventual SG rankings from this draft will be: Rivers > Lamb > Beal.

Earl Boykins could block Beal's shot

    Tiny tiny tiny

I'm guessing McCants was pretty open on that UNC. Beal is the focus of defense at Florida.

I am intrigued by Beal, just tired of the undersized Randy Foye sized SGs. We need 6'6" +

Draft Barnes and move Batum to sg full time.

Not very excited about Barnes, but I like this idea!

I'm not convinced Batum wouldn't do well as our 6'6"+ SG in a radically non-Nate system. Nate's offense is brutal on SG's, relying on them to basically "Be Brandon Roy". In a different, more motion-based system, the strengths of Nic's game might translate into the SG position better.

    ...just a thought.

Sign Dragic and Marshall could be a pretty good bench player.

    Not that good, either.

You and McCants have something in common - shit for brains, son!

    (Only kidding - simmer down!)
