Good shooter like Curry. I don't think anyone realized Curry's passing abilities until he got to the league. I'm not sure if Lillard could distribute like Curry.
Yeah, Curry did a great job his last year in college of trying to show he can distribute as well as he could score. Made a concerted effort running the point. His first 2 years, he was strictly a 2 at Davidson, alongside Richards, who put up 7 and 8 assists per game. After he left, Curry switched to the 2, and was able to get almost 6 apg, while scoring 28.
Yeah they do need a distributor in the worst way, but they also need another scorer in the worst way. Is he that bad of of a distributor?
Speaking of Waiters, Chad Ford said scouts view him as one of the biggest upside scorers in the draft. The first sleeper who sneaks into the lotto?
There weren't many highlights of him shooting, but it seemed like there was something funky about his release. Very athletic though. Dwyane Wade without a solid outside shot?
Dwyane Wade is a really bad three point shooter and if I remember correctly he wasn't great at long two point jumpers at a young age either
Waiters kinda reminds me of Marshon Brooks. Ford broke out the Kobe comparison a month before the draft last year, and his stock shot up from being a no-name player to a potential borderline lotto guy.
Dion Waiters is currently forecast as a late-lottery pick, though that status could change depending on how he performs in pre-draft workouts. "I can't wait for the real workouts to begin," said Waiters, who anticipates matching up against Jeremy Lamb, Austin Rivers and Terrence Ross once the Chicago combine is over. "I'm going to try to destroy them. I love to compete. If I have a weakness, it's that I'm too competitive. But I think once workouts come, that will be my biggest strength." Waiters has drawn a lot of praise for his ability to score the ball. "There are really only two potential superstars in this draft,” one NBA general manager said. “One is a sure thing -- freshman Anthony Davis. The other one is Waiters. He can be an electric scorer in the NBA. There's some Dwyane Wade in him." Via ESPN.com Read more: http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...rkouts_Against_Lamb_Rivers_Ross#ixzz1vtpEZAqJ
No. It's cause he is from Syracuse, and none of them live up to their hype. Even Melo doesn't make his team better. The last guy from the Cuse I can think of that added value to his team was Rony Seikely.....maybe Dave Bing?
You had some points until you brought up Carmelo...He is a good player....may be a knucklehead but a damm good player and certainly nowhere near garbage\overhyped.... I think Waiters is intriguing, but I like guys like Beal, Lamb, Rivers & Wroten more..... I also think Will Barton is intriguing as well as a late 1st\early 2nd.
Tell me where Carmelo has been that he's made better? No one from Syracuse has helped their teams the way they were supposed to since Rony
Name one team that wouldn't want Carmelo on thier team..... even with all of his antics, every team in the NBA would gladly add him to thier roster....
Tell me why you would want him on your team for 20 million a year. He doesn't help you win games, so why?
Denver. NY. Syracuse. Denver was better when he was there than they had been the previous about 15 years. NY has finished above .500 the last 2 years with him there, something they hadn't done in a decade. Won a national title with Syracuse.
