    Hmm...

Maybe Mitch Kupchak would be a very solid hire -- He has made a lot of in-season moves in the past 5-6 years and had to deal with Jerry Buss and his clan.

That makes zero sense. So, they wasted a year by searching for someone who isn't a "Yes Man", and had a "Yes Man" fill that role while Oden and Roy left, the team crumbled, and what looked promising two years ago now is a dumpster fire?

Not buying it. I'm guessing you're just playing Devil's Advocate, though, with this thread.

...and because of Trader Bob, Paul ended up losing the RG to bankruptcy. Plus, Paul just had a year to extend Batum with nobody to tell him no.

Is it just me, or are you actually arguing against yourself in this thread?

Paul Allen in a GM interview.....

"I want you to feel comfortable knowing that I'm not a Meddlesome owner as been reported, you are here to put your footprint on this team. As long as you ask me for permission for every move you make I see no reason why this couldn't be a great fit! Your Thoughts?"

I wonder why Paul capitalizes Meddlesome and Thoughts?

Agreed. The guy got Gasol, drafted Bynum, and got Chris Paul till the league stepped in. But now it's Jim Buss' show, so maybe Kupchak is available.

I think they are going to struggle finding the best man for the job under the current organizational structure. The 'best man' for the job will more than likely need full control. That means someone has to go. (clears his throat) Larry.

Mitch for instance. I can't believe he will leave his current situation for a role where he knows he won't have full control. Once he is told that Miller has veto power, I think that will kill that. I think that will kill it for any one with a similar resume. Ainge for instance. The position is set up for someone looking for their first shot at the general manager position or someone looking to get there feet wet. Better go back looking at the Dennis Lindsay's of the world.

But maybe not. Traitor Bob had lots of autonomy. So did KP. Maybe PA wants a great GM who will give him one more run at a championship. If I were him, that would be my requirement.

I honestly think what is the most important thing is having PA's ear. Then obviously being able to have that "golden gut" and listen to guys like The Born Evaluator

If the Seahawks were without a coach and GM, I wonder how long PA would allow that to drag on? I wonder how long it would take the NFL to tell PA to get his rear in gear or face fines (or worse)?

    He looks pretty hard-headed.

He'd have fuller control dealing with Miller and Allen than he does with the Buss Circus. He'd come here because he'd be less butler and more executive.

    So you asked, I bite.
This forum is boring. You multi-thousand posters saying the same shit over and over is a major yawner. It's also a serious front for potential new posters. Find a way to enourage new blood. If not, this forum's days are numbered.

First off, what does this mean? Secondly, if you don't enjoy yourself here why do you take the time to show up and why even post? Just bounce!
