Hires a Warren LaGarie client who obviously was playing a game with two stupid owners to drive up the price. Olshey lost the trust of players like Eric Gordon. Needed David Stern to make the Clippers a playoff team this year. Made perhaps the dumbest move in the past decade by giving an unprotected #1 pick to Cleveland for Baron Davis. Sell the phucking team, please.
You've made it very clear in two other Olshey-related trades that you don't like this hire. Did you really need to create a third one to say the same thing?
Obviously I did. Others have made their cheerleading for this hire obvious in other threads, yet also created their own threads, too. Sell the phucking team, Paul.
Acquired Nick Young, Kenyon Martin, Caron Butler, Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams...not bad at all. He has a vision to acquire talent...to go for the superstar versus hanging on to young stars on the rise....win now.
I don't hate the move, but I don't love it. Certainly a lot of "meh". The only part that excites me, is regardless of Olshey's ability, it's a step forward in that we now have a GM, and with that little bit of certainly, the organization can strategize and plan and move forward. But Olshey himself neither upsets me now excites me. I'll hold further judgment until he's started making moves and we can get a sense of where we're headed.
Clearly Sterling didn't give Olshey much credit. Olshey must have pulled some great pussy from his acting days in Cannes during the big interview.
Every time his pant-shitting fills one diaper, it's time to start a new thread. It's actually getting comical People continue to react and bash him every time he does it. Of course, I have two young children, so I understand how my reactions to their tantrums shape their future behaviors/tantrums. Why do people expect any different?
Stolen from julius: . Everybody hated LaGarie two years ago, and now his clients are back in the Blazer fold? Such inconsistency. Good luck to anybody who works for this mess.
You didn't have faith in Paul Allen before this hire. Kind of hard to lose something you didn't have, don't you think?
Without Chris Paul, that's horrible. And Chris Paul forced a trade to LAC after Stern denied the Laker trade. I'm sure the Blazers will be back on top soon, though. Paul Allen's judgement should not be questioned!
I said all faith. It's embarrassing to see him used like this by Olshey for a larger contract, but I'm sure the buttsniffers will ignore the obvious.
