Drummond has no offensive game. Similar to MKG right now. Both certainly have the ability to develop one. But neither really do. I prefer Drummond, I agree with you there. Just seems funny to have the thought you don't want to waste a high lotto pick on someone who won't score, when you are willing and happy to do just that.
Drummond looked so awkward when they ISO'd him on the block. A lot of the time he took an off-balanced fadeaway. But I wouldn't be too hard on him (yet) -- he's a year younger than the rest of his class.
I think his offensive game will evolve. He's just 19 years old. People act as though Drummond is a huge upside guy, but MKG is a finished product. They're the same age. He might not ever be great offensively, but some guys can make it in the league by just finding a way to put the ball through the hoop. I think of Shawn Marion off the top of my head, not pretty, but gets the job done.
Drummond was born on August 10th, 93'. MKG was born Sept. 26, 93'. Beal's only 2 months older than Drummond, as well. False information.
Most of his class. He's one of the youngest in his class and could have easily stayed in Prep school one more year but opted to enroll at UCONN. Wet sarape
Dude, you said he's a 'year' younger than the rest of his class. He's not even the youngest player in his class.
Its funny Im starting to get to the age that players in the league when i was in high school are retiring. Thats a sobering feeling.
I'm around the same age of most of the seniors in this draft class, don't want to even imagine when people my age will be retiring, lol.
At least he didn't say...I think that tall dude can be a good mentor to me. Lightish skinned tall dude. You know, big guy. Tattoos.
Does he have to know him? Jones at least knows what kind of guy LA is enough to think he';d be a great mentor.
