    Nope.

I think Robinson is going to be that good.

    Better than Aldridge?

    I think Rondo > Aldridge

Rondo is not CP3 or Deron.

He passes up on more wide open layups than I've ever seen in the NBA. He takes pass first to the extreme and inflates his numbers.

He has never had a season where he had at least a 20PER. Deron has averaged a 20PER since his second year in the League; CP3 with a career 25PER.

He inflates his numbers by helping others get easy baskets? That seems ridiculous.

Passing up a wide open layup for a tougher outside jumper? Yes, it is ridiculous.

11 assists per game this year. A little over 9 on 2 point FGs. the last 3 years he has been over 4 APG at shots at the rim. Better than Chris Paul the last 3 years.

Rondo can get to the rim and collapse the defense, exactly what you want in a PG

#1 in assists while playing on Boston's snail-paced team

And using PER is just lazy.

    Yeah Deron had a 20 PER last season....with a 30% USG rate.

PER should never be relied on

I have no problem with a PG collapsing the defense...

Rondo passes up on WIDE OPEN lanes. This is something you never saw a John Stockton or CP3 do.

I don't buy that it is some huge problem

It's certainly the first time I've ever heard it, and I've never really noticed it, either

This is silly. Please name some of the "lots of players" that consistently produce triple doubles and led their team deep into the playoffs, entering their prime, that you wouldn't have wanted on your team.

Maybe you missed the post where I stated that triple doubles are a gimmick stat that I don't give a shit about.

Gee man, that's not what I said.

I already stated I would like to have Rondo - for the right price.

He is not available cheap. He will cost a lot. A LOT.

What I did originally say was:

"Rondo is a very good player, who has become overrated because he has been on a good team with other very good players and been in the playoffs a lot and had several very outstanding series."

Then I said: "There are lots of players who have that resume". By which I meant, had some good playoff series - despite not being a "great" player. In other words, you expect LeBron and Kobe to have had some good playoff series. They are great players. Very good players, of those who have been in a lot of playoffs, some have had several good playoff series, and some have not, calling into question what kind of player they are. Rondo (at times, not every single series he has been in) is a prime-time baller. And that is great. But, it is leading to his overvaluation and sky-high price by Boston. I don't want to pay it.

There are lots of players that have had good playoff series.

I prefer to look at multiple years of history. Not 15 or so games. If you look at that, Rondo is very good, but not great. If you look at that Rondo has never been the "leader" of his team. And one year he was the "best" player - two seasons ago. If you look at that you see Rondo isn't getting better every year - he peaked two full seasons ago.

    High cost to obtain.

Jerk-off personality and hard to coach.

I happen to dislike non-Centers who can't shoot.

I just don't understand why the hell the team should want this guy so badly, when Boston would looooooove to divest themselves of his "greatness".

    38 - 7 - 8 (typical LeBron good game)

    18 - 13 - 11 (typical Rondo triple double)

    Which is better?

    Some of you are crazy.

You'd rather have a nearly washed up Nash, or Dragic, over the best true PG in the game IMO. Rondo makes teammates better, the lost art of being a PG.

He has a reasonable contract and is just entering his prime.

    What the fuck?

Where did Lebron come into a PG discussion? What do Lebron's stats have to do with Rondo? And what, in Gods name, is gimmicky about 18-13-11?

    What the fuck?

    Odd strawman aside,

Lebron has posted that statline or above 34 times in his career. He is 25-9 in those games, including playoffs.
Rondo has 23 triple doubles in his career. He is 21-2 in those games.

So I guess I will answer your question with a question, which is a better winning percentage? .735, or .913.
