pretty predictable time line now. seattle approves new arena. memphis trades rudy gay and other players. starts tanking. attendance dwindles. move team.
odd quote there, considering the Kings moved in 1985...a year AFTER the Clippers moved out of San Diego.
its going to happen. but not for a few years. its pretty inevitable now. just gotta wait until the arena is built.
I know you feel it first hand. But really - it's such bullshit, and such a disadvantage how much the Blazers have to travel. At a minimum we should be in the Pacific Division to make things fair. Move Phoenix out.
It is tough man! Road trips back east are easier then overnighters here in the west. Would love realignment regardless if Seattle gets a team or not.
Memphis is a horrible market to have a pro-basketball team. It's a college town. Move them to Vancouver, BC! That city has an NBA ready arena and Stern has stated that he regrets moving out of that market.
That's exactly what I'm saying. Regardless of what happens in Seattle. Portland should be in the Pacific Division.
Agreed. It's only fair. Who's closer to the Pacific fucking Ocean? Portland or Phoenix? That's right. Having the Blazers travel to OKC, Denver, Minny and Utah is ridiculous. Here. Fuck it: Portland to Denver: 1,246 miles Portland to SLC: 766 miles Portland to OKC: 1,924 miles Portland to Minny: 1,728 miles Total: 5,664 miles Phoenix to Denver: 821 miles Phoenix to SLC: 663 miles Phoenix to OKC: 1,006 miles Phoenix to Minny: 1,732 miles Total: 4,222 miles Share the pain.
