    I don't think you sign a point guard in free agency if Lillard is the your target in the draft.

    Don't mind if we suck. (Well of course I want us to win) But as long as the future looks bright, I'm happy.

    I hope the future starts looking good, let alone bright. As of right now, its still one single 40 watt bulb trying to light up Las Vegas.

    I'm for selecting whoever you think is the best talent available in the draft regardless of current team needs. Most rookies are not ready for a major role on day 1, so it would be foolish to expect them to start. If Portland were to draft Lillard & then sign Dragic, it would only be a great thing if Damian blossomed into a solid backup Point during the season. They'd have two valuable players under contract and be that much more able to make a move that improves the club overall.

    I think if you are SO sure about Lillard that you are willing to use your premium pick on him. He needs to be good enough to not only be able receive the lion share of minutes but needs to be good enough to start. If that is the case, signing a point guard at free agency is a waste just because there are other needs this team has.
