Joakim Noah & Luol Deng are apparently "available"

I'm not sure the Bulls are shopping both Deng and Noah with the intention of dealing them both. It would be an either/or situation, I'd think. The key factor being the Bulls are seriously into the LT enough to pay it. And with Rose going to miss all or most of next season, it may be better for the Bulls to think about 2 seasons from now and to plan accordingly.

The rumor says the Bulls are looking for a 1st round pick and a trade exception. There's rumors they've talked to GSW for the #7 pick, and I presume an expiring contract like Biedrens' (for Deng). You might consider whether #11 and a trade exception vs. #7 and a $9M expiring deal is "better" from the Bulls' perspective. it also is a question of which to keep, Deng or Noah, given the choice of those two deals. I would keep Noah, even though Deng is an all-star. Why? He's a terrific offensive rebounder who makes feeble players' misses into second chances.

Noah played 64 of 66 regular season games last season. Deng needs surgery for the same kind of wrist injury Kobe suffered (and played through).

FWIW, Deng next to LMA would give you a pair of 26/27 year old forwards who complement each other extremely well. Deng is a strong rebounder at SF, which makes up for some of LMA's weakness there. They both play great defense. Deng also has become a fairly reliable 3pt threat (4 attempts/game, .367). I think if you traded for Deng, you let Batum walk - unless you think he's going to be a top SG and can play him there full time. Deng played 39.4 MPG last season.

IMO if you consider trading with CHI it's only for ONE of those two and IMO the easy choice would be Noah, not Deng, I am not sure I'do do it but most I offer is #11 and nothing else, if they don't want that fine, move on

You honestly think you're likely to get a player at 11 that's anywhere near as good as Noah? We'll be incredibly fortunate if we get a player at 6 who's close to that good. The best bet would be John Henson, and he's about 30 pounds lighter, and doesn't seem to have Noah's all-world "motor".

Boy, Noah sure is undervalued. Including by Bulls management, it seems.

Unfortunately I agree. I think a lot of it is his personality (or lack thereof). I can't listen to that ugly bozo talk. He drives me insane. I know I am not the only one that he rubs the wrong way.....

He is a very good player, though. If only he was a mute.

O-M-F-G quit churching him up. His production falls WAY short of what he's being paid.

    Do. Not. Want.

#6 & Wes for Noah would work for both teams. The Bulls have been looking for a SG to pair with Rose (Rip isn't a long-term solution) and the Blazers would get to unload Wes contract's contract and plug the C hole.

Nolan Smith or Elliot Williams as your starting SG? A bleak future with no young talent? Are we a playoff team with the cap tied up in three players (Noah/LMA/Batum)? Maybe an 8th seed.

Thank goodness you're not the GM.

No, Batum. Or one of the many SGs available at #11 (probably including Waiters, almost certainly Ross and my fave Will Barton).

What do you want, young talent or slightly older much better talent?

Are you hoping we'll get a top 3 pick in the next draft? Because that's the only possible way your route could be better.

Maybe...or maybe you had it right the first time. What if they want to deal him now because they are afraid he is breaking down?

Not to worry: I'm sure our team doctors would catch any potential injury red flags...

If you're against trading the #11 pick for a possibly top 5 Center and a defensive anchor, you are just crazy.

#11 for Noah? All day, erryday!

Agreed. Hell I'd even do the 6th for him if we had another deal on the table to move up and get Lillard.
