nt to butt in, but..scouting was no wherre as advanced as it is today. NBA spent very little time on small schools, and almost zero time looking at the euros, heck when we drafted Sabos, most people were shocked, most had never taken any notice.

    I hate the Portland/Houston or Portland/Utah scenarios.

    Hate, hate, hate!

package any talent outside of Aldridge (batum, Wes, crawford) + both picks + youth to trade for D-Howard and then max offer to D-Will. :MARIS61:

When that 6'6" (rounded up from 6'5.25") guard shoots in the 20% range from three, worse that Andre Miller and Marshall, yes, I would take the unproven player.

OK, I respect your point, so,who would be better in this draft at guard?

The guy who cant shoot? The guy who is too short? Or, The "combo" guard?

First off, Evans is a combo guard, so don't go thinking he is a true PG. If you want to compare combo or SGs, then I would take Lamb over him, and if you want a PG, then yes, I would take Lillard over him too. Without an outside shot, I don't see Evans being a top level player. He hasn't improved his 3pt % in four years. Lamb is a much better scorer and defender if you want that. Lillard has a better all around game if you want that kind of PG. Evans is a slashing combo guard with a lousy 3pt shot. I would rather take a flyer on Wroten.

    Joe Freeman ‏@BlazerFreeman
ESPN (Insider) has put together a mock draft in which current players make selections for their teams. @NdotSmitty drafted for #Blazers ...

Could be fun. Interesting to see if Nolan picked a PG

    LOL

    Sullinger at #6
    Lillard at #11

Beal went 19th to the Magic

S&T Batum + Wes + Picks for D12 (probably have to take Turkeyglue). Then max offer to D-Will and we're back in the mix! :MARIS61:

He's buds with Sullinger, so not surprised by that. Nice to see him pick a PG, though. Tells me he's not afraid of a challenge (not that he'd have a chance to win it), but it says something about his character.
