No way POR lets MKG slide past them....that would be asinine IMO... I can see them making the choice to go Lillard if it is b\t him and Drummond, but if MKG or Barnes are there? You have to be fucking crazy to pass up on one of those guys...
I love MKG, but our biggest need right now is a perimeter scorer. Neither he or Barnes could bring that as much as Lillard conceivably would. MKG won't fall that far though. I see Robinson as the guy who falls to 5 and his talent is far too great to pass on, even with LaMarcus on the roster.
Philosophy question: Is it wrong if Olshey is using jedi mind tricks to convince the rest of the league Lillard is better to draft than Barnes?

If Robinson slides to 5 I could definitely see the Kings picking Drummond or Lillard over him. That would probably be my dream scenario, Robinson falling to 6. Him and LaMarcus would be a fun pair to watch.

The thought of a guy like Thomas Robinson NOT going #2 and potentially dropping to #6 blows my mind, especially with a team like the Bobcats that need a guy just like him in every way.
Well, he probably faced the best defenders in his life coming from Weber State in Dan Dickau and Hershey Hawkins. I'll give him that one.
If we did somehow get Robinson, would we be just as interested in PJIII at #11? I’m pretty high on the guy; he could be one of the best players in this draft. If he didn’t have the question marks he has he’d be a top5 pick. That is the type of risk I want us to take at #11, not a guaranteed mediocre Zeller or Marshall. If we have Lamb or Rivers or whoever rated higher and they are still on the board then find, draft the BPA. But if those guys are gone and PJIII is our man we need to pull that trigger. I don’t care what position our first pick plays. Olshey says he wants to stockpile assets regardless of position. He did this on the Clips when CP3, Mo Williams, Bledsoe, and Billups were 4 of their 6 best players all at the same position. If we had LaMarcus, Robinson, PJIII all on the roster they’d probably all be most effective at PF, they might be our three best players too, but it would repeat Olshey’s mantra. Or if PJIII can play some SF like his agent thinks, can we roll with a starting unit of <FA PG>, Batum, PJIII, Trob, LMA? That could be real fun to watch. A two year deal of Nash leading the group would give an exciting mix of vets and youth.
I think the pick is going to be Lillard at #6...all signs sure point to that.... My only caveat is that if somehow one of Robinson\Beal\Barnes or MKG are there at #6, POR has to take them.....Maybe there is an outside chance that they go with a surprise pick like Waiters or Rivers (unlikely)...but if niether of those scenarios factor into the equation, then I will be surprised if Lillard is not the pick...have to come to grips with that... I just hope though, at #6 he HAS to be a great player\pick, if he ends up as a mediocre PG (like a Jameer Nelson) or bench combo guard (like a Mo Williams or ugh...Nolan Smith )...then POR will have screwed themselves....I seriously hope I am wrong...I hope if they take him that he is a Kevin Johnson like all star caliber player...particularly because by drafting him they will be passing on guys like Waiters\Rivers\Lamb whom I think more highly of and forgoing a golden opportunity to move up\flip flop 1 spot with SAC (or CHA\CLE) to get a hold on one of those 4 players.... Done bagging on Lillard....I think... lol
