Our biggest need right now is talent. I'd submit that to think "perimeter scoring" is more important than "shutdown defense" or "transition game" or "alpha dog" means that you're focusing too hard on a tree, and not the forest.
Not to mention Nic and Wes are pretty good shooters usually. Talent is the key, and heart. The main reason I would want MKG is for heart and defense. Maybe some heart can rub off on Nic. If (big IF) you were lucky enough to get MKG, would that increase the odds of making this more of a transition team? Would you then be more interested in Marshall because you have solid defensive players behind him? I love this poster: but could see it being similar with LMA, Batum and MKG running at you.
one will at least, maybe not 2..... I could see a Harkless sneaking in there as a surprise pick...Maybe a PJ3 (more of a longshot)...
No idea if this has been posted since I was at the Dr, but on my way to the Dr I heard an interview with Drummond on ESPN satellite radio. The reporter said that reports from Portland had Jeremy Lamb answering a question about Drummond's talent. The reporter said that Lamb told Blazer brass that Drummond could be a stud, if he decides to work. I was in shock that he would say something like that, and in fact Drummond dismissed it as well saying that he and Lamb were boys, and he would never say that
