They didn't mention the Blazers when talking about Lillard -- they said that the people he talked to the #8 pick is his best-case scenario.
I am surprised as well that so many said Lillard and Rivers, but that is one of the scenarios I have posted in the last month. So I will go with that as my final one. I want a new young backcourt so if River is taken 9 or 10, then I will be OK with Waiters or Ross at #11. I doubt all three will be gone by then.
You mean Chad Ford the guy that ranked Pavel Podkolzine over Dwyane Wade? Yeah.... Like i care what he says.
What do you mean by scouts said that's his best-case scenario? It's not like the 8th pick in the draft means something special or quantifiable. Scouts usually talk about a guy's ability to play in the league and how he'll stack up, not draft slotting.
6. Lillard 11. Zeller (I'm hoping for Royce White here, but I know that's seen as too big of a reach.) 40. Jae Crowder 41. Scott Machado
IT WAS NOT CHAD FORD'S OPINION! He was relaying information from scouts and whomever his "insiders" are. His ceiling is #8 while same say his range is more #10-20.
What's with the Rivers love. Didn't you mofos get a belly full of chucking and tunnel vision last year?
 Well, whatever I don't read him. My gut just tells me that the Blazers really like Lilliard (I'm kind of ambivalent myself) and I like Ross quite a bit out of all the guys likely to still be on the board at 11 (way over Rivers and Lamb and the big white stiffs like Leonard and Zeller).
