    He's a tweener, but MIN's convinced him to not add the "15 pounds of muscle" this summer and instead slim down to play more of a straight-up 3.

    We'd be buying extremely low. He's (although he didn't exactly prove it last year) a very good shooter. You don't just forget how to shoot 57% from 3 in a year, no matter how crappy the team. He's actually really good iso and in the post, but he rebounds less than LMA does and can be turnover-prone. But as a 3? He could be lethal.

    Reading between lines on latest report about Nicolas Batum and the fact that no agreed offer has materialized yet (after almost 48 hours), MIN's stance appears to be that they are not willing to make an offer that they are confident POR will not match. Who is the BIG-dollar bidder for Batum if not MIN? POR has no motivation to pursue sign-and-trade with MIN as price for Batum just decreased if they won't even make offer sheet. Positive sign for Blazers to keep Batum.

    I think Williams has a future at the 3. With Love at the 4, Pekovic at the 5 and their attempts to sign Batum. Its obvious they don't see him in their future at the 3. He's he's probably very attainable.

    I'd do a sign and trade for Williams without much hesitation. He's kind stuck between 3 and 4, but if he can slim down and get a little more agility for it, I think he's got a much more aggressive mentality than Nicolas and he was a really good shooter in college.

    I'm suddenly having images as such:
    Lillard/Billups (or vice versa)/Smith
    Wesley (or whomever?)/Williams/Barton
    Williams/Babbitt
    LA/Freeland?
    Hibbert/Leonard

    That's a pretty good looking group right there. I'd still be on the lookout for consolidation trades and maybe try to find another shot creator on the wing, but I'd pay to watch that team.

    I said this earlier and I will say it again, this talk of 45-50 mil IMO was/is pure bullshit likely spread my Nic's agent. The fact there was no verbal agreement with Minny like a lot of these guys have done IMO is telling. The more guys that get signed (verbals) for big bucks simpy shrinks the FA pool, Nic's agent could really have this blow up in his face, very interesting that he is coming to POR Thursday or Friday

    I would take Williams in a heart beat for Nic, along with Barea or Rid. But more than likely it would be Darko and a PG. Not good, but as a worse case scenario it would fill two needs if Hibbert falls through.
