Awesome thanks man. Brian Shaw head coach? I like that. Thomas staying? I don't mind that. Teach the youngins. Kinda wonder why we are not keeping Hickson. Maybe they think Meyers is better.
I think craigehlo's theory is the most plausible: Olshey will bring over Freeland and has promised him minutes -- no room for Hickson in that scenario.
He got matched up with Landry Fields quite a bit, playing the PG spot over the last couple of seasons. Ed O.
Same old hype about being serious about building a championship contender, then ignoring all available superstars and settling for a new bunch of scrubs and backups. And of course another coach trainee with no experience. PA's so predictable it's like watching a soccer game.
OK Marris I will bite. Who did you want to go all out for? Deron Williams , Hiibert and Gordon were the prizes. Indy was the cheapest of the three. Who did you want?
That makes sense, I could definitely see that being the case. My initial reaction to Quick's comment was that JJ must either have a poor attitude in the locker room, at practice, or blow a bunch of plays on the court that are hard for us viewers to pickup on TV. The team studies analytics and game films we never get to see.
If we picked up a couple veterans at the draft, possible all-stars then I'd have wanted to see an established coach like DAntoni. But now, even if we get Hibbert we will be a younger team that will need some patience. I don't think the extra dollars those candidates cost would be a cost effective use of Paul Allen's money. Better to save it for using when we become a contender. Shaw is such a proven assistant I don't think there is too much downside but he could have the upside of a valuable coach. So yes I like the Shaw hire if that's what ultimately happens.
Nightmares. I want nothing associated with that game to ever be associated with the Trail Blazers ever again.
