For every 5mill over the luxery tax they increase the amount they pay. Lakers will be at 91mill in salaries next year with the lux tax at, if the tax (i'v heard its expected at 74mill) they only pay 2.50 in Tax. Still a shitload man I thought they would be higher :(

If they trade for Dwight I think they'll have to take on some crappy Orlando contracts such as Turkoglu or Glen Davis, that'll bump them up into a higher bracket. They will probably be repeat offenders which is a higher rate too.

Takes 4 years out of 5 years and the count doesnt' start tell next year. Since they have to send out almost similiar money deals I dunno how that will really effect them, at most bump their salaries up to 95, 99 with incentives.

Last night, Andrew Bynum posted, "Does blue suit me?" on his Facebook page. Is he hinting that he'll be dealt to the Orlando Magic? #hmmm

Dunno who Tommy Dee is, but:

The Nets would actually be pretty damn good. Better than the Knicks, anyway. Basically, East = Heat v. Nets, West = Thunder v. Lakers.

    Nice!

A team could have easily screwed this up by offering Lopez a front-loaded contract.

Tommy Dee is a good source. Broke the Sergio trade a few years ago

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Hmm...a lineup of Deron Is Deron/Joe Johnson/Gerald Wallace/Kris Humphries/Dwight Howard definitely looks good. I wonder who they would be giving up in addition to Brook Lopez...Marshawn Brooks, I guess? Can Teletovic be traded? I assume they'd take back some garbage contracts and give up draft picks. Either way, it looks like it'll be an incredibly thin depth chart, but a really interesting starting lineup.

I think Humphries, Marshon and Lopez would all have to be dealt away in a trade.

You can't trade free agents you just signed like Wallace, Teletovic, Deron.

Does Gilbert wanna assist forming another super team to take down the heat?

If he gets pick she probably does. Helps him depth to be a contender (there probably aiming at 3 years down the line) and hurts the Heat.
