Fair enough. I'm prepared to get excited about Lillard. I'll certainly watch him in Summer League. I am excited about Barton, and Elliot (pisser that he can't play in Summer League), but I have a terrible feeling we're going to be the worst team in the Western Conference, and Aldridge is going to suddenly find that he's got "nagging injuries".
It seems like the New Normal is superteams. OKC is the last of the "build it from the ground up" little teams, and they got incredibly lucky. And it will be fucking amazing if they can keep Harden AND Ibaka. (Halfway through next season I'll be reviving my "Harden for Aldridge" suggestion, I can just tell.)
More venting: Kyle O'Quinn is shaping up to be this season's Faried. Already abused Andre Drummond. Why did we have to sell that second round pick again?
If the point is to get a top 5 pick next year then LA is going to have to have nagging injuries for that to happen.
