I guess the way I look at it is, Batum doesn't want to be here, forcing him isn't going to make for a good Blazer team and if he turns into a cancer and LA goes into a funk, this team could be down right ugly to watch!

look, PA needs to stop falling in love with his players. Batum is totally expendable.

I kind of feel like Batum is going the way of Travis Outlaw and Martel Webster. Better than those guys, but at that stage in the fish-or-cut-bait game we reached with those guys. He's a highly touted young Portland wing who just isn't likely to live up to being much more than a decent role player in the NBA. Joe Rogan said it best during UFC 148-- "If being awesome was easy, everybody would be awesome." Truth is that Batum isn't "awesome", and he's probably not even $9 mil/year "pretty good."

He's been in 18 playoff games and he's averaged 6 points and 1.8 rebounds in those games.

Yeah, I know he's only 24. But I think if he were going to be a top 6 or 7 SF in this league, we would've seen more by now. I'm really ok with us moving on.

yeah. if he was going to be awesome, we would have seen it by now. A few fast break blocks or 20 point games...whoppee.

Looks like Williams is still more "touchable" than he thinks...

    Darren Wolfson ‏@DarrenWolfson
Kahn doesn't want to. Adelman will if need be. 1st choice is to find a deal w/o him though. RT @BennyBeThis @DarrenWolfson Give up D-Will?

Yes Williams or that Petovic center would be acceptable too. If they are trying to "entice" us with Ridnour and the other spare scraps on that roster I'd rather just let Batum walk. Force Minny to put their money where there mouth is and offer that 50mil deal.

What is a herizon? Is it the female equivalent of a hisizon?

And why is it that all trolls write as if they had not completed 6th grade?

Could it be because they have not completed 6th grade?

That's just how kids write these days. Writing is a lost art. I took a writing 122 class back in like 2004 and even then I was amazed at how badly most of the people in my class could write. We had to proof each others work and most of the papers I read had terrible grammar, run-on-sentences, poor thought processing... etc. The future does not look bright in the ol' US of A.

Maybe they should read more books and post less crap. That would improve writing skills. Hell, just use spell check.

Texting, spell check, and the 140-character limit on Twitter is only exacerbating the downfall of the written word in this country with our younger generation - IMO, LOL...
