Whoever it is, it's not going to be an upgrade over Batum. That;s completely delusional. If the Wolves get their hands on Iggy their going to keep him, they aren't going to trade him AND draft picks for a player they could probably get by clearing cap space. Wolves need a 2 and a 3.

Whatever player is in this deal is going to disappoint you guys. Unless you really like Kyle Korver.

It all seems to have started with his agent's agenda. I mean, all year, Nic said that he'd be back and he wanted to be back. Even through all of the turmoil of this season, he always said he wanted to come back.

Re: ESPN Reports: POR & MIN working on deal 2-1st picks and SF vet from another team?

    It could be Iguodala...

Philly just amnestied Brand and Williams has been considered more of a PF than a SF, he would slide right into that spot....and Philly drafted Harkless and is rumoured or have traded for Dorrell Wright and have Thaddeus Young on the roster whom they recently signed to a big deal....Lot of SF....

Lots of things adding up there.....

Maybe Korver might be part of the deal and sent to Philly as a b\u SG....where there is a void after Lou Williams left?

Thaddeus Young IMO would be better fit age wise, but POR could flip Iguodala in a trade at a later date (mid season, next offseason) if they need too....

You're completely delusional. What you don't seem to understand: you can't get Batum just by clearing cap space. Portland won't let him walk for nothing unless you max him. And by all means, I would love to see Minne max Batum. I really would. Eat that cap up. Make Love happy for a minute. Then, a year or two from now, once he sees how hamstrung you guys are financially because you overspent on a SF (one of the easiest positions to fill in the league), he will shit his pants.

If the Wolves are willing to trade Williams to the 76ers, why wouldn't they be willing to trade him to Portland?

Next off season he has a 15 mill player option. That might complicate things

Maybe they really did offer and Oshey is not interested.

Because Iggy is a much better player.

no chance it's Iggy. Most likely Korver, IMO. Ridnour to Chicago, Korver and 2picks here, Batum there.

Re: ESPN Reports: POR & MIN working on deal 2-1st picks and SF vet from another team?

Thats a possibility, but I'm not sure i believe it.

Sure, right NOW Iguodala is a better player than Williams, but I think the chances of Williams improving to be better than Iguodala are high.

The 2nd pick (if thats what the crutch is) isn't worth it.

My guess is, the Wolves are saying they'll find a way to get Portland a SF + the 2 picks mentioned. And in doing so, keep Williams.

I would think portland would just laugh and say "Williams or nothing, sucka!".

2 1st rounders and Iggy for the right to overpay Batum just isn't realistic.

As someone said it might be the reason for 2 1st round picks....

Also Iguodala could always be dealt mid season or in the offseason...a 1yr or 1-1/2yr rental of Iguodala? I think you could get some playoff teams to trade some nice assets for him down the road...

Right now he is, BUT if it's true they think he's a better player (I assume you mean than Batum), why wouldn't they just trade for him instead?

    Club Blazers?

So far everything the rumor guy there has said this offseason hasn't happened, so I'm hoping he keeps his 0-fer. :devilwink:

Not Andre Miller, either. After his decade streak of starting every game was broken by McMillan, to start who again? Then Quick led the fans to hate him? Then McMillan yelled in front of the media to the future NBA coach that he didn't play right?

He was given a noticeable cheer when he returned though. Rudy, not so much.

start rookies at the 1 and 5, plus korver or babbitt at the 3, we could tank pretty hard this year, potentially have 3 lottery picks next year, one of them in the top 3. Maybe aldridge will miss much of the year with a mystery "heart problem".

Not sure why anyone would bring up Korver's name. He is getting bought out and going to be a free agent, we could just sign his ass as a free agent if we wanted. I wouldn't spend $5million on him. So his trade value is less than zero to us.
