QO was for $3,357,569. Assuming he took that, we can still offer a max offer and have 79k left over while we decide what to do with Nic.
missed the 4M base salary above. Well, now we can't offer a "max", but can offer 13.1M to start, which is just about a max.
Re: Hickson Coming Back No matter what the money is, there's hardly any such thing as "overpaying" on a one year contract.
Przybilla came in midseason full of steam, rowdy and starting fights with the other team, but soon dissolved into jelly to conform to his teammates, after the team was blown up. If he's healthy, a good coach will make that roster a .500 team next season.
Re: Hickson Coming Back That's a very good point. Unless you're paying $7 mil for one year of Kwame Brown, lol (and yes, I know that Brown's expiring contract played a part in the Warrior's trade for Bogut).
Well, if Claver and Hickson aren't official, we still have max money. But there are no max players remaining, so it's kinda moot.
WHO'S THE MORON WHO GOT RID OF HICKSON? You guys just got lucky. I was planning to post that this season whenever we badly needed improved PF and C play. The season after some idiot got rid of Juwan Howard and got no replacement, we had about 10 losses directly caused by Howard's absence. (Someone bet the farm on Oden coming back.)
I wanted Hickson back too. Shrewd, shrewd move. If nothing else, he's broad/wide enough to play a fair amount of C, since LA balks at that. I like this move. I can dig it.
good news... I'd rather have him then a lot of the options that been thrown out lately. Unless management pulls a rabbit out of their hat, my guess is he's the starter at 5. I'd expect them to add at least one more vet Big... maybe Joel. Has anyone heard how JP is doing physically? STOMP
Re: Hickson Coming Back I think this is exactly what I was going to post. Nice thinking, Dw. I am happy Hickson's coming back, and I hope that he can show his production with Portland wasn't a fluke. I'm just surprised by it. One thing that I am enjoying is the addition/retention of big bodies. The NBA is allegedly a wing's league, but putting up with Camby and a broken-down Prz and an even-older-than-me Kurt Thomas a year after Barron and Collins and Marks and Johnson and Oberto... It'll be nice to see what the younger big guys can do. Ed O.

I loved watching Hickson play last season, and now since we'll be giving other bigs more playing time we won't be forced to play him so much. He's great as an energy boost off the bench.
