First thing he *should* do is fire his dumbs agent. After that, it's up to him. But that dude has done Nic no favors whatsoever.

He shares the same source with Jaynes.

They've been total mouthpieces for David Kahn and the Wolves.

I'm sorry, but you're an idiot if you actually think players that aren't on rookie contracts and are comparable to Leonard, ie Batum, would get contracts similar to what Leonard is being paid.

    Talk about fantasy land.

At least we know who the "unnamed GM" they've been quoting for years is now.

Wow. Been out all day. Just stepped up to the computer.

Minnesota makes an offer (aka a promise) out of thin air (since they didn't have the money to make the legit offer), and now look like they're reneging? What a crappy, crappy, classless organization. I see where the Timbertrolls get it.

This "offer" was a weak attempt to get Portland back to the table for a S&T.

To be fair, he said nic signed the offer sheet, which the Minn. writer confirmed as well, but that it has not been submitted to the league yet.

Re: Nic 4 years, 46.5 Million

Wow. Not coming through and at least trying to make the offer to Batum makes Minne look shady, shady, shady. If I'm an agent, going forward, I'd tell Minne, "We can't even talk until you have the money to sign my player."

Imaginary Cap Space is one thing. But an imaginary signed offer sheet that can't be turned into the league is one of the funniest things I have ever heard of.

Other than a single tweet, has it really been confirmed that this won't somehow get through the league? I understand the rationale of why it would be invalid, but has there been any real confirmation that either the Tpups aren't going to submit it, or that the league has voided it?

I'm guessing it's known that they can't afford it yet. But you're right that none of the media folks have said anything about them actually being afford it.

No. The league won't comment on it until it's submitted. IMO it won't ever BE submitted, b/c it's invalid. But no one's going to say that.

+1. I really have no clue how they'd be able to, unless there's some odd rules we have no clue about. From what i can see, they don't have the money for it. So while they might have gone through the process of having Nic sign... I dunno. One last All in with their chips to try to get us to fold, I suppose.
