http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2012/07/factcheck-romney-would-be-guilty-of-federal-felony-128733.html#.T_7Hg0jVQO4.twitter I guess we'll wait and see.
Does that make it right? What's sad is that the Democrats can't come up with a reasonable defense of their policies. It's all about smear tactics.
Just to be clear, if this does come out to be true, it's kind of a big deal, no? I think the Democrats do have reasonable defense for their policies, trickle down tax code is not working. There are plenty of aspects to the Affordable care act that republicans suggested and liked until it became "Obamacare."
You seem to be hanging your hat on a lot of "ifs", but that's just me. And if the Democrats have a reasonable defense for their policies, why aren't they promoting them? I wonder exactly how these policies are somehow superior. It seems to me those awful "trickle-down" tax policies led to 4% unemployment and deficits 1/10th the size of the current ones. George W. Bush was no small government conservative. Making him the poster child for how fans of limiited government would behave would be like the Women's Temperance Union having Charlie Sheen as their spokesperson.
But the "bush tax cuts" are still in place no? And yes, I often lose arguments on this subject with you and BlazerBoy which is why I hate having them.
To be fair, a lot of republicans are still trying to start lawsuits over Obama's birth certificate. Oh, and the republican in Alaska starting lawsuit, that was quickly thrown out, saying that Obama is not eligible because he's "negro" and that goes against the 10 commandments
It is not just that this is a "batshit crazy" idea, which it is, it is that it was all laid out by the media several times including Fortune, Washington Post and a book about Romney by Boston Globe reporters. For Dems (and their media allies) to be bringing up something with no new information and no substance is to engage purely in shit throwing to attempt to smear. "Oh yeah, that Romney, he is one of those get away with anything you can vuture bad business dudes." We have looked at this issue before, back in January, and thought we had settled it. But now the Boston Globe has raised the issue again. The story seems to hinge on a quote from a former Securities and Exchange Commission member, which would have more credibility if the Globe had disclosed she was a regular contributor to Democrats. (Interestingly, “The Real Romney,” a book on the former Massachusetts governor, by Boston Globe reporters, states clearly that he left Bain when he went to run the Olympics and details the turmoil that ensued when he suddenly quit, nearly breaking up the partnership)http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...ure-from-bain/2012/07/12/gJQAASzUfW_blog.html Fortune obtained the offering documents for a Bain Capital Fund circulating in June 2000, as well as a fund in 2001. None of the documents show that Romney was listed as being among the “key investment professionals.” As Fortune put it, “the contemporaneous Bain documents show that Romney was indeed telling the truth about no longer having operational input at Bain -- which, one should note, is different from no longer having legal or financial ties to the firm.”
True, but since there's no such thing as an incumbent Republican who truly believes in limited government, he'll have to do.
If it's desperate to want to keep felons out of the white house, then I'd guess most Real Americans are desperate by your definition.
Romney's arrests and criminal associates: http://biggerfatterpolitics.blogspot.com/2012/05/romneys-rap-sheet-romneys-criminal.html
I link to Washington Post and Fortune. You link to a goofy blog. And you LOL at me. That says a lot right there.
It speaks volumes, as a matter of fact. I listen to Real Americans, while you listen to the 1%ers' PR department.
I'm not defending the Republicans. I'm simply saying that the Democrats aren't running on their record. Do you disagree?
If Obama had committed a felony, and Democrats used the Romney defenses in this thread (smear, doesn't concern policies, etc.), you Republicans would be tearing into Democrats for the hypocrisy you are showing here.
Changing the subject may work on this board, but diversionary tactics won't work at Romney's trial after he loses the election. --------- Well, that's it for this foray onto the off-topic board. I check it about every couple of weeks.
